I like calcimine by f&b but worried it would look a bit tacky. Does that matter though?

No I don't. I've looked at the colour and I think it could look really nice, especially in a house with period features. In a modern house, I'm not too sure.

I think it would look nice, especially if complemented with white and light wood furniture, brass fixtures and a natural fibre rug/ runner etc.

I think it would look already dated if you went down the pink and grey route.

Thinking of a pink hallway too!

AmandaHoldensLips · 11/02/2022 11:03

It’s half white half calamine as you can see. Obviously this is with a bit of daylight. I just think it’s very pink! I do like pink but just wondered what people thought for hallway

White bannister and pale “greige” carpet. Have dark wood floor atm but will be changed to a lighter wood later. Too girly?

When you said pink I was thinking a bright loud pink but that is really lovely and classic.

LuckyAmy1986 · 11/02/2022 11:12

In real life it’s definitely slightly more pink than in the photo!

I painted my hall, stairs and landing really bright pink in my 20s. It was like walking down a great big fallopian tube.

I bought a tester of f&b peignoir and this thinking I would love the peignoir more but it just looks so dull

I really like it

BernadetteRostankowskiWolowitz · 11/02/2022 11:17

Oh I like it, it's subtle.

LuckyAmy1986 · 11/02/2022 11:18

Great! I’m really bad at interior stuff so don’t want to make a mistake!

Personally I love Peignoir. Are you going to paint the whole wall as I think with the pale pink and dado rail, it could look a bit 90s/Changing Rooms? My parents had their sitting room like this in the 90s!

LuckyAmy1986 · 11/02/2022 11:27

@Qwill I wasn’t planning to! Would you do the whole thing then and leave the dado rail white??

Yes. We have pink ground in our hall. I love it.

LuckyAmy1986 · 11/02/2022 11:37

Oh pink ground is beautiful

I do like it but it's very 'trendy' at the moment and will probably date quite quickly - I suppose its not the end of the world with just a painted hallway though, you can just paint over it.

LuckyAmy1986 · 11/02/2022 11:41

@Hasselhoffsheadband see my worry was that every hallway I looked at for inspiration was very neutral like grey or cream. I thought this was a bit out there! But yes, could easily be changed if I hate it

I had a pink hallway, loved it but it's everywhere unfortunately.

bindud · 11/02/2022 12:00

Pink is already the new grey

LuckyAmy1986 · 11/02/2022 12:25

I did not know that! I’m not really a “trendy” person though so guess I wouldn’t - I’m terrible at all this Sad

Looks like my parent’s hall and landing in the 90s
