Mine was walking down stairs with my hands in my pockets. Didn't end well Grin

Holiday in Bognor Regis
Aww I really enjoyed our little holiday at Butlins in Bognor Regis with the kids Grin

The weather was beautiful and we had a full schedule of activities so no time for boredom.

Were you at Butlins too? If not I can understand why it might be a bit boring. There wasn't much to the seaside.

Walk on an icy geyser trail in sub-freezing weather. A shattered ankle and being medivac'd across 3 states for emergency surgery taught me my lesson.

Luckily a fence prevented me from sliding into a geyser pool.

pawpaws2022 · 09/02/2022 22:40

Tipping boiling caramel over my wrist and hand. Hint - when you then put cold water on it, it sets and you end up at the burns clinic

abw94 · 09/02/2022 22:40

Sky dive

DedalusBloom · 09/02/2022 22:43

@GameofPhones

Walked downstairs reading a book. Headfirst into the glass- panelled front door. Luckily it didn't break, but my head and neck did hurt.

Also walked downstairs holding a long piece of cloth. I trod on it and nearly went headfirst again. Luckily managed to grab a banister rail in time.

This has made me feel a bit better! Ouch though

Opened my eyes on The Kamikaze water slide - the force of the water took the contacts out and I was blind for the rest of the day until I could get back to my hotel.

Another eye one - put contacts in same day I’d cut up a chilli.

MuffinStrops · 09/02/2022 22:44

Go on a chairlift. I thought I was goi g to die of fear.

iridescentpaint · 09/02/2022 22:45

Skiing. Terrifying experience.

HubbaBubbaBubbaloo · 09/02/2022 22:50

Just remembered I was once on a bike as a kid and I was cold so I wrapped my coat sleeves around the handlebars. I was speeding down a hill and couldnt get my hands to the brakes because they were constricted by the sleeve and I crashed into a lampost Grin

theDudesmummy · 09/02/2022 22:50

Oh also, use an Epilady. Even with half a bottle of vodka. Back to the old pink razors after that.

louderthan · 09/02/2022 22:53

Jumped out of a plane
Drank fermented horse milk in Mongolia

Everything else...I'd probably do again.

gingerhills · 09/02/2022 22:55

@WillowintheUK

Tried andouillette - one teensy mouthful. Truly awful. 🤮
This should have come with a trigger warning. You have unleashed French-exchange traumas I can't untaste.
gingerhills · 09/02/2022 22:56

Hurry through the open doorway of the Manchester M&S to discover it was sheet glass. I was glad I was alone. Blush

Luredbyapomegranate · 09/02/2022 22:58

Vegan cream cheese
Involuntarily hacked it back up in front of the sweet man who’s just given it to me to taste
I felt awful, on both counts
It was like rancid putty

PrinnyPree · 09/02/2022 23:00

When I was very little I wondered if the steam from the kettle smelled like smoke...

MaggieFS · 09/02/2022 23:02

Trek in the Amazon. Too many bugs. Never need to go to a jungle again.

Luredbyapomegranate · 09/02/2022 23:05

Eyebrow threading . It hurt so much !
Armpit waxing, it was so painful that I had to stop the beautician after she pulled off the first strip of hair Shock

Go on a water slide (with a small child)

I can’t swim whatsoever and not confident in the water at all but DH convinced me I’d be absolutely fine going on a water slide with our (at the time) toddler. I flew down the slide and off the end of it so fast, I went under and let go of small child. Thankfully she had a life jacket so she didn’t sink but was a scary as it took me a while to find my feet and get back hold of her.

How could you even put it in your mouth 🤮 the smell 🤢
SteggySawUs · 09/02/2022 23:18

Ice skating, roller skates, water slides.
Won't even try skiing or bungee jumping (but love sky diving and abseiling).
DH developed a theory that I'm fine with things that have a tiny risk of massive injury or death, but not activities with a high likelihood of small injury like a broken bone.

RampantIvy · 09/02/2022 23:21

Go on the Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey ride at Universal's Islands of Adventure in Orlando.

I felt so sick. Never again.

Norgie · 09/02/2022 23:49

I once had a bad mouth infection and desperate to get rid of the pain i thought it would be a good idea to swish 85% proof absinthe round it, thinking that alcohol will kill the infection.
It wasn't and it didn't.
What it did do was send the pain scale from 10 to 100 as my mouth burned.

Cupcakesandjam · 10/02/2022 00:09

Ski lifts and skiing.
Roller skating
Ice skating
A perm
Eating risotto
Being up high. Even watching telly and some one is high up makes me feel dizzy and sick.
Wearing a thong
Long haul flights
Marrying again

@Pombearsforthewin

Like others, white water rafting. Scary. As. Fek! Also, like others, coming down a very high and twisty flume at a water park. I was literally flung above the side of the flume wall at a corner, and though I was going to be catapulted over the side.....My family waiting in the pool at the bottom saw it happen, and couldn't stop laughing at my forcible ejection and then the whomping thump as I hit back down into the water. Never again... ever!
Went down a slide at blizzard beach. Basically 2 slides side by side where you sat on a rubber ring and raced the person next to you down. The slide was a slide, a bump and then another slide before landing in the pool below. I went on and could feel the tire spin before I'd even set off. Slid down the first part, literally hit the bump bit and flew up into the air. Rubber ring shot off down the second part of the slide and I came crashing down straight into the water having missed out the second part of the slide. Didn't half bloody hurt and I think I drank half the pool in the process
