I've just had superb customer service after contacting M and S online this morning. It was all dealt with and I'd been given a gift card by lunchtime.

Which companies have give you really great service recently ?

Also, Riverford are very good. I think they might only be in the south west but they're very clear and easy to contact, respond quickly etc

HMS Belfast. Booked last summer, travelling from Scotland expecially.
Im physically disabled so almost impossible for me but Ds 17, was taking Dd 14, ASD, around the boat. She had a big panic attack & became non verbal. Outstanding staff member stayed with them, then found me (quayside) & usherd me on, no ticket & no charge, to spend 4 hours in the cafe whilst kids enjoyed the boat (it was enough that I was ON the boat to calm Dd). Its her ASD special interest & it gave her / them both such confidence. Dd still talks about it.

Stitchfix. I've had very few reasons to contact them but every time I'm impressed with their prompt, helpful responses.

I had to say thank you for such great service recently and received a really lovely reply thanking me for bothering.

@UnicornPug

Years ago, but playmobil. I bought a Noah’s ark for my then 3 year old and on assembling before Christmas, one of the elephants only had 3 legs. I emailed them saying that the animals in Noah’s ark really needed to match…… and they sent me another 3 legged elephant. Grin
That's so funny! And so shit! 😂😂😂

My local Argos has always been great on customer service.

Also the local amenity tip - very helpful and polite workers there

100problems · 29/01/2022 19:08

AO. Job done, appliance working, bank account not zeroed.

100problems · 29/01/2022 19:11

@sleaf I also agree about Argos. Click and collect is seamless. I spend more time raving to the staff about the efficiency of it than I do clicking or collecting.

I love efficiency.

AO, Amazon, Next, EDF. Not M&S lately and definitely not ever Clarks.

First Direct.

AO, Molton Brown and Audible.

Wayfair answer the phone straight away. Was so shocked not to be put through a multitude of automated menus. They sent a replacement item the next day and told me to bin the original damaged order. I've never had an issue sorted to quickly!

@bluebellation

AO - we've recently moved house and have bought 3 different things from them . Their delivery people are polite and efficient, the tracking system means you know exactly when they'll arrive. We ordered a fridge freezer and the delivery was delayed so they gave me a discount voucher. When it did arrive it had a tiny dent in the door . The delivery guy photographed it and immediately sent a report to whoever. Within 10 minutes of their departure I had a phone call offering me compensation of £120 , which was credited to my card that day. Not bad on a £500 fridge!
I agree with AO. If there's an option to use them when I want something delivered, I always will.
Pirate009 · 29/01/2022 20:56

I’ve just had the same with m&s. Missing item from delivery. Dealt with 2 hours after I messaged, item sent and a gift card for the inconvenience. On the other hand we had terrible service from Asos recently.

BobHadBitchTits · 29/01/2022 21:00

John Lewis.

I ordered a Clinique foundation for the first time. The shade wasn't right. Clinique offer refunds but John Lewis do not. But they did give me a gift card for the cost of the foundation and let me keep it.
