Really great customer service

I've just had superb customer service after contacting M and S online this morning. It was all dealt with and I'd been given a gift card by lunchtime.

Which companies have give you really great service recently ?

AO I won't buy electric appliances from any other company

Alayalaya · 28/01/2022 17:48

Butternut dog food. My little chihuahua died and I cancelled my dog food order. Next thing I knew a bunch of flowers and a sympathy card arrived at my door. I mentioned it to a friend and apparently they always have great customer service. She had two poodles and when one died they sent her a blanket in case the remaining one was cold without his friend.

WeAllHaveWings · 28/01/2022 17:49

M&S, Next, John Lewis, Amazon, Tesco, Petplan, DirectLine.

I find the recommendations for AO surprising, I wouldn't touch them with a barge pole after being repeatedly lied to and let down and I know others with bad experiences. I would guess it is only when it goes really wrong you know how any companys customer service truly performs.

Audible - happy to return a book I bought that I didn’t realise was so short

stuntbubbles · 28/01/2022 17:50

Miscos chocolates, who were just wonderful and I ended up with two boxes, and Herbology, who gave me a discount. Both proactive with offering recompense/solutions, easy to contact, friendly, just great.

WeAllHaveWings · 28/01/2022 17:53

and Nationwide. Refunded me penalty charges for missed mortgage payment AND the charges for my current account (at another bank) going overdrawn when it was all my fault for giving them the wrong account number 🤦‍♀️

BelleNoir · 28/01/2022 18:38

Levi's were absolutely amazing considering I had no proof of purchase. I just sent photos of damage and they sent me a voucher and free next day delivery

BirdyBee · 28/01/2022 18:42

Qvc and Too good too go customer services were brilliant via email

user1497207191 · 28/01/2022 18:49

Amazon
Admiral insurance
Virgin media
BT

I've needed to contact all the above in the past few months, expecting problems given complaints from others, but highly impressed by them all, every single time no arguments, and they did what they said they'd do straight away.

Shame about HMRC and Churchill insurance who I've had to contact over the same period - virtually impossible to speak to anyone and then they never do what they promise to do meaning you have to call again (and again!).

Ginisatonic · 28/01/2022 18:58

GTech

Nocutenamesleft · 28/01/2022 19:03

Dope rope

I brought the wrong skipping rope. I spoke to a lad called Keon who I think owns the company??? And I asked if I could send it back and exchange it. He just sent me the bits I needed. Free of charge and took hours replying to all my questions. Made sure I got the bits etc.

For a bit of not that cost me only £20. His customer service was outstanding and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them. Fabulous company.

Tyler's Embroidery - bit of a niche one but if you need any sports, team or workwear embroidering then I recommend them wholeheartedly. I ordered a personalised coat for my daughter for Christmas and unfortunately it got lost in transit and was never delivered (last tracked to a courier transit centre somewhere near Birmingham!). By the time I realised it hadn't arrived Tyler's had already shut for their Christmas break however they still picked up their emails during this time and were extremely proactive in trying to track down the missing package and contacting me with updates and apologies (although it really wasn't their fault just one of those things). Because their communication was so good I was able to break the news gently to my DD in advance that her special present was delayed and I had time to get her a little something else to open on Christmas Day.

As soon as they reopened in January they re-made the coat AND sent my daughter a very generous gift of a matching personalised hoodie and a woolly hat to make amends. I was very touched by this and my DD was over-the-moon. She said she was glad her first coat got lost Grin

Plusnet always sort stuff out over the phone, no long waits and all sorted out...I had three issues needing sorting..quickly and immediately!

whirlycarly · 28/01/2022 20:36

Bloom and wild. Sent flowers to the wrong address and they were fab.

Plus net also good when I called recently

whirlycarly · 28/01/2022 20:36

Chuchali · 28/01/2022 20:43

Pushchair Expert - had problems with a 4 month old pram and they sent out a new one free of charge and collected the old one.

Fitbit - watch was blistering my wrist and I'd had it for a while, they sent me a label to return it and refunded me the price I paid for it

StCharlotte · 28/01/2022 20:48

A local branch of Euronics. Ordered a new washing machine Tuesday lunchtime. Installed and running by Thursday lunchtime (and old one disposed of).

Also currently dealing with a company called Floorsave (for wooden flooring) and they've been lovely so far.

NannyGythaOgg · 28/01/2022 20:51

My local dominos - perfectly thin and crispy with all the toppings distributed evenly.

Hush

Made (offered to knock £50 off a chair that had been delayed in production

Roystonv · 28/01/2022 20:58

Iglu, ok I had to wait ages to get to speak on chat (not impressed) but had two really nice, helpful and apologetic (no companies ever admit a mistake has been made nowadays; they worry about being sued but it makes such a difference) staff sorted my problem and did what they said they would do promptly.

UnicornPug · 28/01/2022 21:10

Years ago, but playmobil. I bought a Noah’s ark for my then 3 year old and on assembling before Christmas, one of the elephants only had 3 legs. I emailed them saying that the animals in Noah’s ark really needed to match…… and they sent me another 3 legged elephant. Grin

TheVolturi · 28/01/2022 21:20

Dyson, every time. Had a dc40 for years and it finally gave up. Totally knackered after a hard life, had been dropped downstairs and wire almost cut through and alsorts. 2 weeks left in the warranty and I rang them for a spare part. They did a video call for an engineer to check it over and they decided to collect it to fix themselves. They sent it back fully refurbished. Like brand new! I rang them to say thank you and bought another anyway, I was over the moon!

EcoCustard · 28/01/2022 22:01

AO were fantastic last year when our dishwasher broke sourcing a replacement (little choice), replaced within 48 hours as repair would take far too long apparently.

FurbleSocks · 28/01/2022 22:45
