My tastes are pretty modest, but impossible as our oven is broken!

Some roasted garlic on bread, very slow-cooked brisket, roasted vegetables and triple cooked chips, followed by a massive slab of cheesecake. 👌

How about you?

Chinese take-away. Every. Single. Time!

Maybe it's a good thing I can't afford to get a take-away more than a few times a year (I order 3 days worth of eating). If I won the lottery and had Chinese take-away every day I'd be as wide as our house.

I would love pizza and chips but I'm on a diet and trying to behave myself... but oh my god the craving!!!

Full roast beef dinner with a lovely selection of veg and Yorkshire pudding .

Starter would be garlic mushrooms. Followed by cannelloni made by an Italian chef, served with freshly made garlic bread. Fresh fruit salad for afters.(if there was any room for it)

SnoozeAllDay · 23/01/2022 15:01

Either a Christmas Dinner.

A Thai Chicken Massaman & rice

A dominos chorizo, jalapeños & garlic spread pizza

LefttoherownDevizes · 23/01/2022 15:02

I would be sat outside in S France eating what they call a salad but it's really salad, gésiers (gizzards, much nicer than they sound), a mini goats cheese, bread and a massive wedge of delicious melon. Possibly with duck fat potatoes on the side (sadly no rose as can't drink any more)

tackling · 23/01/2022 15:04

Oh, garlic mushrooms. Yes, those instead of the garlic bread!

A huge seafood banquet with a variety of mains/sides and good wine(s).

No need for starter/pudding.

(I guess I don’t have modest tastes 🤣)

SNUG2022 · 23/01/2022 15:07

Chow mein right now.

A really decent Char Kuay Teow. With lots of prawns and sliced pressed fish cake. I keep trying to make it myself but I just cannot quite get it right. I have a current craving so strong I am actually thinking of going to London next week to my favourite place that serves it. (London is a 2 hour train trip away... but I could check out the V&A at the same time).

I’m not well at the moment and having to avoid spicy and fatty foods. So, if I could eat without consequences, I’d choose a massive plate of nachos with all the extras and plenty of jalapeños. Or a chilli garlic masala with rice and sag paneer please. Plus a big chunk of Costco lemon cheesecake for dessert.

I’d like to pretend I’m fancy and sophisticated but I honestly just want some delicious junk food right now.

I'm feeling really poorly right now and am really craving a good beef stew with fresh bread and dumplings.

iklboo · 23/01/2022 15:48

Starter: scallops, crispy prosciutto & pea purée

Main: venison, duchesse potatoes, carrots & parsnips, cabbage and a red wine & cranberry sauce

Dessert: tarte tatin with calvados cream

Floater coffee with Cointreau

Camomila · 23/01/2022 16:02

Oooh...I would go to my auntie's restaurant in Italy and have
first course: spinach and ricotta crespelle
second course: chicken cotolette with a really nice salad
puddling: bavarese

spikesonbuildings · 23/01/2022 16:04

I really fancy a nice curry.

TakemedowntoPotatoCity · 23/01/2022 16:07

Cheap date here. Really good fish and chips from a seaside chippy.

Fire19 · 23/01/2022 16:10

Tartiflette with crusty bread green salad and a glass of red wine.

toppkatz · 23/01/2022 16:24

Steak & chips, onion rings and a green salad.

I'm about to cook a roast chicken dinner and I don't fancy it at all.

LefttoherownDevizes · 23/01/2022 16:25

@SalsaLove

Fish tacos and American style prawn cocktail.
How does the prawn cocktail differ? Never realised there were different ones . .
Normandy144 · 23/01/2022 16:26

Proper deep fried buffalo chicken wings with blue cheese dip or steak and chips with garlic butter and green salad. Pretty simple to be honest.
