So I'm 40 weeks and 5 days pregnant and totally demented. Bounced on my gym ball for 10 minutes tonight and felt a sensation and my mucus plug came away. I'm due to be induced a week today. How likely am I to go into labor myself?

It sounds like things are moving for sure.

Melvin2021 · 19/01/2022 23:30

I hope so! 🙏

When I lost my plug I gave birth 14 hours later. Any luck yet OP?
Given that you’re over the 40 week mark I’d guess that your body is getting ready

With my first son I had my sweep at the midwife's at 12pm then went home and started getting light cramping then I got into the bath and I lost my mucus plug then the pains got worse by 8pm I had to go into hospital because I was in labour gave birth at 1.28am next morning

I lost mine at teatime, and had my baby at 8am the following morning.

Good luck op!

Still nothing yet. Feeling abit deflated but then I'm maybe just impatient. Hoping as the day goes on something starts!

Hopefully for you it means things are happening 🤞🏻 good luck!
For me it sadly wasn't 🤣 plug and waters went. Had to be induced on the drip two days later.
Good luck OP!

I started losing my plug on the Sunday, period type pain started the Monday night and full blown labour late Tuesday morning!

Hopefully will be soon for you 🤞🏻

Following as I'm in the same boat! Had a bloody show complete with plug on Tuesday morning. Still coming away in small amounts. Still no baby!

I was really excited about it because I remember losing it in the morning with DC2 and I was in labour that same night! (I don't remember even losing it with 1 & 3 though)

Melvin2021 · 20/01/2022 15:45

Thats a nightmare! I spoke to my midwife earlier and she said it might not mean anything and I could still be induced next week which I'm seriously gutted about haha. She's told me to get out walking is there any point?

I was induced when I was three weeks late and only then the plug pulled away. I would try and walk to see if it helps.

Late babies are so hard, you just want them with you!
