Old or new, smart or not. What are you enjoying wearing at the moment?

Mine are a woollen jumper, about five years old and with a small hole under one arm. But perfect for lazy weekends at home.

A pair of bamboo socks with birds on. I normally wear boring socks but these were a lovely present from a client.

An old Gudrun mac, a bit battered but still gets compliments.

My leather Ugg’s

My giant puffy coat from next

My primark pjs

FleeceNavidadFromTheSheep · 15/01/2022 23:44

Oversized dark grey cashmere roll neck sweater
Black suede ugg boots (with proper soles, not the slipper style)
Merino/alpaca red beanie

Carinattheliqorstore1 · 15/01/2022 23:45

The coat seems to attract compliments. From my mum, from my friends, from a random lady at m&s, and even a male colleague was having a good look at it on the coat stand and asked if it was mine (I’m the only female in the office right now). He wanted to buy it for his wife

Ylvamoon · 15/01/2022 23:45
  1. Craghoppers leggings bought in the sale recently - can't beat them!
  2. old & washed out oversized pink jumper
  3. old pair of slip on sketchers

That's my go to leasure outfit at the moment!

shivabeaver · 15/01/2022 23:47

I love my art shoes I got as a present, purple and clumpy.
Pyjamas I also got as a present, very soft.

That's about it, I hate most clothes, I only ever get dressed to go outside and everything looks shit on me Grin

RaoulDufysCat · 15/01/2022 23:57

Really comfortable jeans from Toast (wide leg, slightly cropped, dark indigo)

A Gap T shirt, the best I've ever owned. Perfect length, perfect weight. I bought it and went back the next week to get five or ten or twenty more and they'd sold out. I was really sad. Never seen the same one again.

New boots from Carl Scarpa - really nice dark turquoise lace up ankle boots, quite narrow and soft leather.

Giggorata · 16/01/2022 00:10

We had a similar thread recently but we’re allowed to pick only one, so I'm glad to get to have two more:
1.:My ages old grey alpaca wool coat. (At least 35 years old)
It is long and has no fastenings. I can waft about in it, but it looks quite respectable. I have slept under it on occasion and it is really warm.
The lining went, so I had a scarlet replacement lining done, the cuffs started to go a bit, so I had them and the collar covered in thick black velvet.

  1. My black Trippen boots. How can leather that thick be so comfortable? And the soles are thick, but not so much that I clump about. And not so much waterproof as bombproof. And they have a completely unnecessary Batman-like fin so I can imagine that I am cool and edgy when wearing them.
  2. I have just bought a felted wool hat with felted deer antlers and I don't think I’m going to take it off for the rest of the winter.

That's' not me, by the way

Reallycantbesarsed · 16/01/2022 00:18

M and S coat about 5 years old, M and S jeans and Fly boots .

PrettyBluebells · 16/01/2022 00:23

I've just lost 3st, I'm loving clothes at the moment!

I want an all saints biker jacket but I'll need another stone off, so in the meantime I'm wearing a fake in but I love it.

I have a pair of wide legged jeans, I've had so many compliments, friends and a couple of strangers too, they were £20, I'm thrilled with them.

My Mum & Dad bought me good quality gym gear for Christmas, I'd been buying cheap and cheerful, I have one set that I absolutely love.

cocktailclub · 16/01/2022 00:29

A mustard v neck sweater from the Next sale. Warm but looks smart on a zoom call.
Clark's Chelsea boots in khaki. Thirty % off.
M&S jeggings

hivemindneeded · 16/01/2022 08:25

Mine are:

a new sunset orange cashmere sweater with lots of detailing. Kitten soft, and perfect for slouching around the house but also smart enough for lunches with friends or drinks in a garden. I can barely take it off.

a new-ish bamboo 'silk' paisley shirt. I wear it loose with jeans for a slightly hippyish look or tucked in with smart trousers for work.

A very old black silk velvet opera coat. It was perfect for the mild weather we had at Christmas when I wanted ot look festive but not get too hot. It has a Dickensian vibe.

Avarua · 16/01/2022 08:28

Very hot here. Summer.

I have a long floaty dress made from tencel and cotton, which has pockets. Wear it all the time.

Otherwise just live in linen tops and floaty linen dresses.

TheCountessofFitzdotterel · 16/01/2022 08:39
  1. Kate Davies pattern Owls sweater I just finished knitting in chunky dark red Icelandic wool
  1. My dressing gown because it is warm and thick
  1. Normal white pants because I have had a fibroid removed after months of bleeding solidly so wearing normal pants rather than Modibodis feels like a miracle Smile
BlueFlavour · 16/01/2022 08:43

A slightly padded cropped jacket from primark
Furry snow boots from Merrel. Amie joggers from Hush. I look like a Cossack. Oh and a pink blanket scarf from joules.
I wear it every day Grin

Fat Face long line cardigan in a butterscotch type of colour. Not a colour I've worn before but everyone repeatedly is telling me the shade really suits me. It's injected so much life into my face.

Gap Navy Breton. I can't believe it's taken me so long to discover Breton's. This literally goes with every single item in my wardrobe. The easiest thing to wear.

Both of the above bought on Vinted (cardi = £18, top £5 in 'as new' condition.)

Also Fly Ankle Biker boots. I also have them in black. I love me a chunky ankle boot. They are absolutely my staple uniform between October and March.

EssexLioness · 16/01/2022 09:35

Fleece lined burgundy walking trousers from Açai. They are so soft and warm, perfect for walking the dog and hiking in this weather.
Burgundy, slouchy jumper which looks great on me and is really comfy to wear. Got in a Stitchfix box in September
Then I want to say my green dress I bought from Collectif last year. It is gorgeous and I feel amazing in it. However, it was bought for a wedding which then didn’t happen so I have never had an opportunity to actually wear it out. So my third item, which I actually wear is a lovely grey jumper with a cross cross design at the back, again bought from Stitchfix

MiddleAgedKick · 16/01/2022 10:04

Oh sorry, missed that you said three garments!

  • Lilac, corduroy dungarees from L&Y
  • Black lace up leather boots from Clarks (they honestly are lovely and not frumpy at all)
  • my dh's old hoodie which he was going to get rid of and I have pilfered
Insertdeadcatsnamehere · 16/01/2022 10:05

Pleeeeaase could you tell me where that deer hat is from @Giggorata ? It's amazing and I need one!

Giggorata · 16/01/2022 10:17

With pleasure, Insertdeadcatsnamehere. 🙂

Lace up black boots
Jeans which actually fit for a change
Fluffy socks

beguilingeyes · 16/01/2022 10:25

Uniqlo jeggings. Impulse buy just before Christmas and they're gorgeous. Feel like velvet and soooo comfortable.
Massimo Dutti sheepskin flying jacket I bought in TKMaxx for £60. Label says €899. I've always wanted a flying jacket and this one is beautiful.
A green dress from Cos that doesn't look anything special on the hanger but looks amazing on. Beautifully tailored...also has pockets!

pointythings · 16/01/2022 10:42

Ribbed knit midi dress from Sainsburys.
My Sea Salt dresses
Snags in a rainbow of colours.
