I would rather streak down the high street than clean my kitchen blinds.

@MyQuietPlace

I don't like any of it but ironing must be my most hated job
Don't do ironing 🤷🏻‍♀️
wineandchocolateforthewin · 12/01/2022 21:31

Changing the beds. I have a superking and am 5,3. It's hard! Takes 2 of us.
Cleaning the bloody gas hob, great to cook with but a bastard to clean.
Dusting, I ALWAYS miss something.

Honestly hate most of it but I'm still on a waiting list for the cleaner

wineandchocolateforthewin · 12/01/2022 21:33

I do like doing laundry and hoovering. I think I'll like cleaning the floors too once i get my new floor cleaner.

Abcdefgottago · 12/01/2022 21:34

Is cleaning the car allowed?

Why does it take so long. How does it look like a pack of animals have destroyed the back, within days of it being hoovered, polished etc. I just don't understand. What a waste of time, hate it!

LemonDrizzles · 12/01/2022 21:41

Laundry. I get a good start then deflate

Followed closely by sorting papers. I think I'm a hoarder as I struggle to bin the children's paper projects. Easily 80% need to go but I just sit and look and marvel at them!

Luredbyapomegranate · 12/01/2022 21:44

Putting the bins out

It would never occur to me to clean a blind Grin

Pyewhacket · 12/01/2022 21:45

Cleaning out the fire place.

Kitkat151 · 12/01/2022 21:50

It used to be cleaning the oven.....but I got a new kitchen 2 years ago and clean as I go now so this is no longer an issue

ArblemarchTFruitbat · 12/01/2022 21:54

Changing the King Size duvet cover!

Before someone rushes on to extol the 'burrito' method ... tried it, result was more like a drunkenly half-eaten late night kebab.

AuraBora · 12/01/2022 21:58

Putting laundry away, worst part being socks - every single time only about 30% of socks are put in matching pairs.

Also bedding - was thinking of getting my daughter a high sleeper bed and had not thought of the ensuing bedding challenge so thanks previous posters for that!

MaybeHeIsMyCat · 12/01/2022 22:03

Oven cleaning. I pay someone. It's £40 so a bargain TBH!

LoveFall · 12/01/2022 22:04

Putting laundry away. I hate it. A lot.

Middleagedfemaleangst · 12/01/2022 22:04

@Sherrystrull

I hate emptying the dishwasher and putting dry washing away.

mugglenutmeg · 12/01/2022 22:04

Cleaning the oven!

Mrsdoubtfireswig · 12/01/2022 22:05

Emptying the dishwasher without a doubt

Middleagedfemaleangst · 12/01/2022 22:05

@cobblers123

Cleaning hair out of the bath plughole. It's only ever my hair but I still hate it. Bleugh!!
I love doing this. Will swap for dishwasher, putting away clothes, hoovering or changing sheets.
ArblemarchTFruitbat · 12/01/2022 22:08

I love doing this. (hair out of plughole)

So do I - I class it as 'sporny' housework. I try to save up until I know there'll be loads in there and then have a blissful delve with my customised coathanger!

Gymrats · 12/01/2022 22:11

Washing up. I don’t do it and point blank refuse too, it’s quite strange how passionate I am about that, as I do lots of tidying and cleaning really, but I’ll never wash up!

I have a dishwasher. I don’t have credit cards or debts but if it broke and I was broke I’d get one to get a dishwasher and whilst I was waiting for it to be delivered it would be paper plates and plastic cutlery!!

I won’t wash up!!

badlydrawnbear · 12/01/2022 22:14

Changing the cat litter

Rupertgrintismyguiltypleasure · 12/01/2022 22:17

I hate taking washing off the line.... have no issues putting it up but absolutely detest taking it off. Also despise peeling potatoes..

timestheyarechanging · 13/01/2022 02:31

All of it! Had a cleaner when I was married and she was fabulous. Also a dishwasher. Now have neither and I hate cleaning. My mum gets up at 5am and cleans her house top to bottom, my sister says she enjoys cleaning on her day off work. I'm clearly the black sheep of the family

immersivereader · 13/01/2022 02:34

Hoovering
Cleaning skirting boards
😱😱😱

merrymelodies · 13/01/2022 02:44

Changing cat litter. Washing the floor. Cleaning the fridge.

Wafflesnsniffles · 13/01/2022 02:44

Cleaning the toilet. I dont mind every other chore. Totally happy to do all the other chores but I HATE cleaning toilets. Thankfully we only have the one.

chocolateorangeinhaler · 13/01/2022 07:00

All of it. Spend hours knackering yourself out. Looks lovely for a few days. A week later it looks like waynetta slobs house.

My dining room looks like a laundry at the moment as all the ironing is sitting on the table. 4 weeks worth. I just shut the door and ignore it until I can mentally get myself to stand there for 2 hours doing it all then putting it all away.
