Am I a keyboard warrior ?

Some of my very best and most eloquent thoughts are at my fingertips !

I recently had a trip away. It was not cheap. I was disappointed with the awful food, which to me, is important when you are on holiday.
The actual accommodation itself was good in parts but not so much in others. It was warm and cosy but not overly clean.
If it had cost less money I would not have felt the same but because of the price I felt expected better.
The thing is.. I was happy to pay that amount. I was confident it would all be lovely. I anticipated a certain level of service and they failed to deliver.

I reviewed it on TripAdvisor. I did not slaughter them by any means. I pointed out what they could do to improve.

Does this make me a bully, or is reviewing an establishment negatively 'par for the course' ?

@theNumbersStation

I bet the proprietors are still samaritan from the bad review.

They’ll be Babeling on about it for donkeys.

Part of the Job isn't it. Hope it doesn't affect their prophets.

I think OP has made a Herod for her own back.

CeleriacOfTheNight · 07/01/2022 15:00

We know the breakfast was crucified, but how was the Last Supper?

DillonPanthersTexas · 07/01/2022 15:01

Well context is everything. It amuses me reading scathing reviews as usually when you dig a little bit deeper you can usually see the reviewer is utterly delusional in their expectations. Moaning that the 3* basic 90 euro a night hotel in Rome does not have a late bar, views of the pantheon and complimentary airport pick up service is just daft.

😆😆😆
Mummyoflittledragon · 07/01/2022 15:18

I suppose crucified food could be arranged - a spit roast perhaps. Or would that be impaled and more a nod to Vlad?

These comments are hilarious.

Quirrelsotherface · 07/01/2022 15:18

Did it rise again later on? If so, I wouldn't have complained in the first place to be honest.

Feliana · 07/01/2022 15:20

Did they put you in the stable OP?

Mummyoflittledragon · 07/01/2022 15:21

Pity you didn’t stay for 3 days, they might have cooked the crucified food better the second time around.

CeleriacOfTheNight · 07/01/2022 15:22

Did the OPs question about this occur to them yesterday I wonder?

Quite the Epiphany!

Feliana · 07/01/2022 15:26

Right folks, that's your Lot. I've Hades quite enough of these puns now.

Shelby1981 · 07/01/2022 15:26

Well Jesus, it sounds like a testament to bad customer service! As for the food perhaps a pillar of salt would've helped?

theNumbersStation · 07/01/2022 15:27

Luke it has happened now. Mark it down as a bad experience.

Shelby1981 · 07/01/2022 15:28

Was there also dirt on the MATT? HEW would believe it?!

WalkersAreNotTheOnlyCrisps · 07/01/2022 15:28

theNumbersStation · 07/01/2022 15:40

I hope Hiram not responsible for the way this thread has gone.

Tirzah pity it has gone this way.

midsomermurderess · 07/01/2022 15:47

Why do you need validation for leaving a review on Tripadvisor? It was your experience, none of us knows what it was like against your expectation. That is what Tripadvisor is for, to review things.

rookiemere · 07/01/2022 16:05

I've only once left a less than three star review on tripadvisor for accommodation and the place thoroughly deserved the ( somewhat generous) two stars I gave it.
I think as long as you attempted to put in a complaint at the time, the. you're absolutely justified to review as you find it.

rookiemere · 07/01/2022 16:06

Oh sorry I didn't see all the hilarious puns Hmm
