Sanitary products for 12 year old

DD12 on her first period. We were prepared but we're using Always Platinum with wings and god love.her they are not doing the trick. It's not that her flow is too heavy, it's just missing the pad altogether, up the back,.out the side etc.

Sorry if that's TMI.

Any suggestions/ products/brands/ tips most welcome. She doesn't want to use tampons yet.

we keep a bucket of water ( must be cold ) in the bath where she drops them in. I let them soak overnight and then stick in the wash as normal.

glad to be of service! I'm on the look out for a small lidded bucket though as I think that would be better.

Also it works quite well in the bath especially if you have a shower attachment as you can blast them a bit as you fill the bucket/bowl.
