I’ve just eaten more than half a dozen Cornish wafers with butter & vintage Red Leicester. So moreish! Need to stop though as we’re having bangers, mash, peas & gravy for tea. Had a quiet day but a nice one. DD13 ate lunch out with a friend then brought her back for the afternoon. DH was going to go cycling but ended up watching a new Star Wars thing instead. I went into town to take some money out of the bank (waiting for a new card so this is the only way I can get any cash). Bought next year’s “ special” Christmas cards half price eg Mum & Dad, husband etc & got sis in law’s Christmas pressie in the Boots sale. I started clearing our bedroom out yesterday so it now looks more of a mess than before; thinking very hard about continuing before I put the rabbits to bed. I am being ruthless & hope to take several bags to the Air Ambulance & Hospice shops. Still can’t believe how much stuff we have! I need Stacy Solomon to come in! Probably watch The Voice Kids later. A Star is Born appeals to me but not to DH so I’ll watch that another time.

We're meeting a friend for a pub lunch at 2pm. Neither of us is particularly up for going out eating and drinking but my friend's husband is a miserable t* and she's desperate for company.

We’re having lunch, teens are having breakfast before scrambling out of house to meet friends. They have promised to be back by 4pm because we are going to a family event.

I’m going to have tidy up blitz while house is empty.

I had planned to study today (last year of my OU degree) but my laptop won't turn on. It was a bit iffy a few days ago so I bought one from Very which is being delivered today so sat constantly refreshing the tracking page. Whoever decides on Yodels delivery routes should be sacked, the drivers been a road away from me about 8 times and then goes to the other end of town. Unbelievably inefficient in time and fuel.

I'll be picking Dd up in a few hours. Normally her dad does the ferrying around as he moved out of our area but as he has a newborn I volunteered, it's cost me an absolute fortune in fuel running her back and forth this holiday.

We're isolating after positive lateral flies yesterday, been for pcr this morning. I don't feel too cracking so it's a pj and chill day

I've got the worst cold ever. Was meant to be working but I called I sick. Did a LFT which was negative but DS1 had covid a week ago and I have exactly the same symptoms so I went and did a PCR. Back in bed now.

I've blitzed the house today. Christmas bedding off, outside lights away in the garage. I've got the Christmas tree boxes in ready to take them down tomorrow, I've hoovered and cleaned everywhere upstairs. So now I'm slobbing on the sofa with the dog watching Deep Impact!
Youngest dd has a friend here so I can here giggling from upstairs. Oldest dd is on the other sofa on her phone, dh is in the kitchen probably eating more Christmas cake.

Three of our adult sons have gone home after an extended Christmas stay 😬, DH and I are chilling in the living room enjoying the Les Mis concert on Sky Arts and digging into the Lindors, it is quiet and peaceful 😊 We’re ordering a takeaway for dinner
