I’ve just eaten more than half a dozen Cornish wafers with butter & vintage Red Leicester. So moreish! Need to stop though as we’re having bangers, mash, peas & gravy for tea. Had a quiet day but a nice one. DD13 ate lunch out with a friend then brought her back for the afternoon. DH was going to go cycling but ended up watching a new Star Wars thing instead. I went into town to take some money out of the bank (waiting for a new card so this is the only way I can get any cash). Bought next year’s “ special” Christmas cards half price eg Mum & Dad, husband etc & got sis in law’s Christmas pressie in the Boots sale. I started clearing our bedroom out yesterday so it now looks more of a mess than before; thinking very hard about continuing before I put the rabbits to bed. I am being ruthless & hope to take several bags to the Air Ambulance & Hospice shops. Still can’t believe how much stuff we have! I need Stacy Solomon to come in! Probably watch The Voice Kids later. A Star is Born appeals to me but not to DH so I’ll watch that another time.

DS1 (17) has his mates round, quite a few of them..... we're banished so we've brought the smaller kids and the cat at my mum's down the road with a takeaway.

MIL is doing ironing in the dining room watching the Christmas Bake Off. DD is at her boyfriends, picking her up at 10pm.
DH is setting up his Gravitrax marble thing. I’m drinking tea, eating biscuits and playing on my ipad.

We've watched The Book of Boba Fett. DS is reading 'The Magician's Nephew' for the millionth time. DH is watching Youtube channel about vintage/unusual guns. Teenager on their phone being outraged by things on social media.

I have covid, but I’m drinking gin. I’ve felt like absolute shite today (day 5) and have a slight temperature but I’m buggered if I will be beaten because it’s still my Xmas holidays!

DH/DD and DS are watching prime TV - Brentford V Man C

DS is building the Lego home alone house whilst watching football.

D cat and D dog are having some sort of pawing/fight thing which is frankly pathetic 🤣

DH is cooking the leftover roast beef from yesterday in some gravy and some veg for me, fish and chips for him. DD1 is out with her boyfriend, DS is gaming and DD2 is painting. I'm just sat here on mumsnet pretending I have no responsibility

We took some decs down today. My sister stayed last night and once I'd dropped her home (her car is being fixed) I felt in need of some decluttering so we cleared the living room and straightened everywhere else.

I'm eating chocolate éclairs on the sofa. Both boys are in bed, Ds1 is reading for a while but I'll do lights out at 9. Dh is asleep. So are the cats.

Tbh, I’ve just shown DH my rather short NYE dress, he loved it - to put it mildly - which lead to a rather nice hour or two upstairs 😍🥳
Now having a cocktail, and waiting for pie and roast potatoes to come out of the oven.
Perfect evening!

We went to a hotel last night about 2 hours away. Hit the beach and the shops. I cooked fish fingers and rolls for the dc as they were off to bed. Dh and I will chill out now.

DS(3) is asleep and has been since 7:30 or so. DD(7) is in bed, hopefully nearly asleep. She turned her lamp off at 8:30 after reading so she should be gone. DH is on his laptop, coding. I'm about to play on the Switch for a bit, possibly with DH if he comes downstairs.

Today was the first day any of us have done anything physical (I took the DC to the shops and library, DH got his booster and picked up the food shop) for awhile, so we're quite tired. It's nice.

DD11 had her first guitar lesson today, so she's in high spirits. 2yo had a very late nap and he's still running around, which has put paid to my plans of having a bath and an early night. It'll be 10 before he goes down now.

I did chicken, stuffing and parsnip subway rolls for dinner, with gravy on. So nice! Had some cranberry on mine.

I’ve had a lazy day but it did start early - bin day so putting rubbish out at 6 30 (can’t do it at night due to clever foxes).
Done some ironing and tidying. Finally caught up with washing and put the spare bedding back in the loft.
Chilli for tea - bil came too. He has had an argument with his wife which makes no sense in either English or Albanian. Although I understand she doesn’t like us again but nope no idea why.
H is in bed grumpy due to bil situation.

I enjoyed Stilton, crispbreads, cucumber and mayo with my g&t earlier, then a lovely bath before crawling into bed with the iPad.
DHid downstairs with DDog, both asleep on the settee.
It’s very quiet here, bliss!

Been an unusually lazy day.
Both myself and DP are still off work. I didn't get up until 11 and DC and DP didn't get up until just after 12. Had a lunch of crackers, cheese and pickles and watched a Christmas movie. Then all played a new game on the switch.

Me and DH managed to sneak off for some alone time upstairs then had a nap for an hour. Got up, made a picky dinner of all the leftover Christmas food and watching yet another Christmas movie. Going to take the dogs for a late night walk with DH in a bit and then relax in bed and browse the internet as thinking of booking a summer holiday and a holiday for new year next year.

I had my mum here this afternoon and we had pate on toast and 3 glasses of Prosecco (she had one, I had two!) while watching Phantom of the Opera at The Albert Hall. We don’t spend much time together (but of a backstory that nobody need to hear!) so that was nice.

Chilli for dinner that was made in the slow cooker yesterday. I had it with nachos and grated cheese and sour cream and it was absolutely bloody lovely even if I do say so myself!!

Boys are both upstairs gaming, I haven’t seen them all day, so it’s been peaceful apart from their muffled shouts and regular trips downstairs to fridge raid.

DP is staying here tonight and has put the Justice League film on; I don’t like DC so I’ve been reading a trashy novel. Am now in bed after taking a sleeping tablet as I have chemotherapy tomorrow and never sleep well the night before (I never sleep well anyway but it’s particularly bad Wednesday nights) as I always feel anxious about the chemo the following day. So continuing trashy novel until I fall asleep 😴

Decluttered the spare room, had a bath with a bath bomb, shaved my legs (I ended up with a very hairy bath!) and have retired to bed with the Miriam Margoles memoir. She gives an awful lot of blowjobs for a lesbitarian…

We only got home from visiting family for a week yesterday so today we've been unpacking but I've also been relaxing as I find being social for days so overwhelming and have needed the alone time.

DH is at work and teen DC in their rooms playing their new computer games. DDogs are in their beds fast asleep. They need to go outside for a quick pee before bed but it's stormy here tonight so I know they won't want to go out.

Thanks @WhatDidISayAlan 😊tomorrow is week 7 of my first 12 wk cycle, then having another 12 weeks of another type of chemo, then surgery. I’m getting through it gradually and with my fingers crossed!!

I’ve given the house a once over today, determined to keep on top of it! DD(3) has spent the day playing with her new toys and watching films, DH went shopping to get gifts for people in his family who got us things and he forgot! Lol

Filled in my new planner and set some goals for 2022. FaceTimed my mum, made some parsnip soup (not normally a fan, but had loads left in veg box!)

Cooked a Lidl nut roast with veg for tea, now watching Netflix on the iPad in bed with Earl grey tea and Ferrero Rocher.

As for the point of the thread, we're all in bed, as you might expect at this time. Although not been tucked up for that long actually. I think everyone apart from me is asleep, just MNing on phone until I start to nod off.

Well this morning i have washed up and put the rubbish out , showered, dressed and started tiding my room while watching lock and key.
Dd14 has been out on her paper round.
This afternoon i am going to sort though ds10 wardrobe and draws , drop dd14 off at the cinema and enjoy the near peace untl dh comes home from work.

I took advantage of mild weather and a brief lack of rain to plant out 30 daffodil bulbs and 45 Russian Snowdrops (that I have been forgetting to plant for ages). We only have a small yarden, so hoping they all come up and make a big impact. Did a general tidy up of all the containers, and distributed fallen leaves around the pots.

It was a really nice way to spend the morning.

Then got carried away and ordered 200 crocus bulbs with the amazon gift card my brother gave me for Christmas.
Also had a brief chat over the wall with next door but one neighbour.

Have a pasty heating in the oven.

DH is just getting up now. We had covid delayed Christmas at my parents yesterday, and he got a bit carried away

I should be working as I shouldn't have really taken any time off over Christmas with my workload, but I also really needed the time off after 3 ridiculously demanding months, and I still don't feel like my brain is working properly.

I think we are going to friends for dinner tonight, but not sure yet...

We’re in a little holiday lodge, I’m doing absolutely nothing, my husband has gone to do a bit of sales shopping with a few friends.
