As I tuck into my solitary quality street from the box that my team of 15 have to share which was a gift from my employer, I'm wondering, does anyone get christmas gifts/bonus's from work anymore??

We are getting amazon vouchers apparently. No sign of them yet though!

I have bought my assistant a small hamper from hotel chocolat as a personal thankyou. That's come from my own pocket though. And my manager has bought a bottle of champagne for me.

No cards from any bosses - we have a director, area manager, manager and senior staff. Thought we should have received a personal card to thank us for our work during what's been a very difficult Covid year.

£20 voucher from director. Director usually pays for Xmas night out for everyone but not this year or last year. We normally get work night out paid for - escape room and meal or ice skating and meal plus the £20 voucher.

Thought we could have got a voucher for more than £20 seeing as they've saved loads not having a work night out.

I got a text yesterday to thank me for my work and that £100 had been deposited in my bank account which was very appreciated.
DP got a £35 love to shop voucher

I got a £100 voucher for Cote at Home a couple of weeks ago so ordered some things we wouldn't normally buy at its quite expensive. It was very well received (nhs employer)

Bottle of Prosecco
I'm a teacher in an independent school.
I don't drink (surprisingly)
Last year it was a tub of celebrations. I gave it to my class to devour.
We all got the same gift - which is whatever is on offer at the front of Tesco.
I am grateful, but I'd rather have some time to get reports, etc done.

Public sector - education - so no.

Goodness me, we have to pay for our own tea, coffee and milk so no chance of a Christmas gift.

( oh and take leave unpaid between Christmas and NY - to save the council money).
