I had a home delivery tonight. It seemed like a lot when I placed the order but when it arrived there were 4 crates costing £132... mainly meat, cheese, fruit and snacks so expensive items but no alcohol, no dishwasher tablets, etc. I'm shopping at Lidl next time.

When my children were teenagers, I used to do tinned stuff, milk, chicken and as much else I could from Aldi, cereals (several massive boxes of Shredded Wheat, Weetabix and Kellogs cornflakes for a month) , loo roll and pet food from Sainsburys and cleaning and bathroom stuff from Wilko/Superdrug. Took longer but I think I saved a fair bit of money that way.

I like Morrisons own brand stuff but there isn't a nice store near me, ditto Asda. Refuse to use Tesco unless it's an emergency due to their two tier pricing structure. Since I got rid of my clubcard and nectar card I've had a massive decrease in the number of junk emails and amount of unsolicited post and I don't want to go back there.
