Takeaway for one

is this odd?

I'm a bit nervous,

Dh is out, I've got the TV to myself, really hungry and dh said treat myself to a takeaway but I'm nervous about answering the door on my own with children asleep. Am I being silly.

Have chosen what I want we've used this place before so I know they are good I just need to woman up and ring lol

Anyone else enjoy a takeaway by themselves?

Yes

...unless you've been through some traumatic experience where you were abused by a takeaway delivery person at your doorstep.

I do this regularly (probably too often) - I live alone now and it's never occurred to me to be weird. The delivery person will not give a hoot! What are you wary of?

God I love a takeaway for one.

Would never cross my mind it's odd. i'm always getting lunch delivered for one.

It's usually £20 minimum for delivery where I live, so I would only ever order for two.

Also why would your husband tell you to treat yourself to a takeaway? Can you not decide that for yourself?

It's amazing! It's fruit in like a toffee batter. I suppose a bit like a toffee apple you get at Halloween but slices of fruit and it's cooked, deep fried I think. And sesame seeds on top. At our Chinese you can choose apple banana, pineapple or a mix

Now you see in this situation you order enough for two and fridge what's left.

Reheated Chinese food the next day is truly the food of the gods.
