Is it ok to go to bed with wet hair?

I'm crap at getting up early. I wake at 7am and its go go go to get the kids sorted and dropped at school (we leave at 7.50am to go to Breakfast Club), then off to work.

I manage a quick shower each am but do not have the time (currently) to wash and blow dry my hair in the mornings. As such, I was it before bed every other night.

If I'm organised I'll do it early evening then blow dry or leave to air dry before bed but once a week ish I end up going to bed with wet hair.

Is there anything "wrong" with sleeping with wet hair? I keep the towel wrapped round it as long as I can bear then take it off before I fall asleep. Is there a product that would be good to put on my hair/head for overnight sleeping with wet hair?

I know the answer to it all is "get up at 6.30" but we are 36 years in and it's just not happening.

Unless you got directly from the bath into bed, without using a towel, I really don’t see the wet pillow as a huge problem. Towel turban for a few mins, then comb it though. I cannot remember the last time I blow dried my hair, and my v long-haired DD is the same. We are not prone to the frizz, which is lucky for us.

So not intrinsically wrong (ie will make me ill etc) but some find it yuck or not comfortable.

Thanks for all the responses.

No I dont go with it saturated (it stays in the towel for ages, another towel on the pillow if still damp when sleeping). Never noticed anything scummy about the pillow but I rotate three different ones over time.

Your hair is at its most fragile when wet, so for me it’s a no, unless you can put it in a protective style like a braid.

I always go to bed with damp hair when I wash it, my hair is frizzy if I don't and looks its best if it is allowed to dry really slowly over night. My pillow is fine, always dry in the morning. I don't go to bed with it dropping wet. Course it's fine. Sounds like it would work well for you.

I do. Plait my hair and sleep on a towel (and throw it on dh in the middle of the night when he's asleep Grin)

No don't do it you will wake up with no hair 🤔

My DP thinks you die if you do this but I have found that is not true

I do - I just scrunch it up in a bobble so it doesn't make the pillow wet then let it loose when I get up to finish drying. I like doing it that way as it makes my hair really "beachy" and wavy.
