4 year olds...obviously expect teens to do it themselves...

2-3 weeks for 8 y o DD who doesn’t seem to sweat much and has a bath before bed…she spends half the night in my bed anyway 😬

Weekly for mine.

Chipsahoy · 24/11/2021 12:49

Weekly for us all. I’m embarrassed to say I have a day of a week for each. Wednesday for dc and Saturdays for mine.
Takes five mins!

Chunkymenrock · 24/11/2021 12:51

Once a fortnight. Alternated with mine.

Pancakeplant · 24/11/2021 13:07

I aim for fortnightly, usually it's more like monthly unless there's some kind of accident/leak/spillage in which case obviously straight away (why is it always at 3am...)

Pancakeplant · 24/11/2021 13:09

Should say mine is 4.

DappledThings · 24/11/2021 13:09

About monthly for small children. 5 year old more often than 3 year old as younger one is dry at night and older still has some accidents.

Sunshineandflipflops · 24/11/2021 13:13

@WhyAmIDoingIt

Once a fortnight but 4 nights out of the 14 they're at their dads.
Same, but at their dad's 5 nights out of 14.

They are teenagers and I still do it otherwise they would be living/sleeping in filth.

Pascha · 24/11/2021 13:15

Every Sunday morning after breakfast. They strip it themselves and I remake it. Its habit now.

FelicityBob · 24/11/2021 13:18

Monthly. The kids are small and don’t sweat and they often have a bath before bed. I feel like it’s a waste washing the sheets when the children only take up about a quarter of the bed Grin

BeanyBops · 24/11/2021 13:24

Weekly. I have a sweaty DH, a dog that's allowed on our bed, and a snotty toddler. Even if I didn't I think a week feels about right though.

Freshprincess · 24/11/2021 13:31

All beds weekly.

Mine are teens and I usually do them all together. They remake the beds themselves.

I don’t understand the MN thing of everybody in the house has to do their own laundry. It would be really wasteful if we were running a half empty washing machine 3 times a day.

HalloHello · 24/11/2021 13:34

Weekly, just do all beds in the same day so it's out of the way for the week.

AnnaSW1 · 24/11/2021 13:34

Every Saturday morning we change all bedsheets

JunoMcDuff · 24/11/2021 13:48

Monthly unless they're obviously dirty or smelly before that.

stingofthebutterfly · 24/11/2021 13:49

Fortnightly, although no, I don't expect my teenagers to wash their own bedding. So much easier and less water wastage to chuck it in with other stuff.

Paranoidandroidmarvin · 24/11/2021 13:51

I am for weekly. But sometimes it is every two weeks. My son ( who is 17 ) has a sensitive skin thing and his nose is worse. So he has to have his changed weekly more often really. He also can’t be around when I do that or clean his room. So I have to do his for him.

kalidasa · 24/11/2021 13:52

Once a fortnight (barring accidents / spillages etc). We do our bed sheets one weekend and then the children's the following weekend. Have to admit my husband is better at keeping track of this than I am though.

VaguelyInteresting · 24/11/2021 13:54

Monthly.

DS gets in my bed at midnight pretty much every night, so seems insane to wash more than that for the four hours a night he’s in there...

MinnieMountain · 24/11/2021 13:56

Fortnightly, alternating with ours.

Creamcrackersandricecakes · 24/11/2021 14:21

Every 2-3 weeks, same as ours. One DD aged 12, not too sweaty. No pong.
TBH, I work as a housekeeper currently in a house where all beds must be stripped and the linen washed weekly, (even if they've only been slept in once). Two of the beds are super kings, one king sized. The linen is all thick, heavy white cotton. Everything must be ironed, including fitted sheets. When I come home, after having dealt with that, the absolute last thing I feel like doing is starting on my own beds. Grin

JustButtingIn · 24/11/2021 14:23

Once a fortnight.

ChristmasScrooge · 24/11/2021 14:25

Twice a week.
I'm very much OTT about germs though. I know it doesn't need to be done that much. Grin

changingchanges2 · 24/11/2021 14:26

Weekly, but if I've not had any time then more like every 10 days or so.

GraceKelly259 · 24/11/2021 14:27

Once every two weeks unless soiled of course. No food or drink upstairs and everyone is toilet trained now so it's easier

BernadetteRostankowskiWolowitz · 24/11/2021 14:28

Once a month at a minimum. Sometimes slightly less.

They are youngenough that they arent sweaty, old enough that they dont have accidents and freshly bathed each night
