Saturday night drunk thread

I know it's only 6pm, but the kids are at their dads, DS1 (13) is on the xbox and I'm wrapping g Christmas presents with a baileys. It's salted caramel and there's a good chance I'm going ti finish the bottle as its amazing.

I'm just about a bottle of Tesco own Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc down (since 5pm). Dh and ds are watching Squid Game which I don't fancy so I'm mumsnetting and facebooking and doing a bit of internet Christmas shopping. Weighing up an early night with more wine .....

Oh OP enjoy the Baileys, it's still my favourite tipple after seeing in New Year with it about 12 years ago. Was dating the landlord of the pub who accepted defeat and started serving me it in pint glasses...eventually got kicked out by the cleaners at half 8 NY Day - great days! I'm on a sensible wine writing an essay on property law...it won't end well! Cheers all

Red wine here. The salted caramel baileys sounds lovely but I suspect I wouldn't be able to stomach enough volume to get the buzz a bottle of Red will give me.

I almost feel I need to sponsor you for the efforts in attempting to sink a second bottle OP 🤣

@HerRoyalWitchyness you go for it! Can’t imagine drinking baileys nowadays but there was a time when I’d happily sink a bottle. Now too menopausal to be able to digest it!

DH is out this eve so I'm home alone with baby DS. He's in bed now so I'm having a glass of wine and watching KUWTK on Netflix

Saturday night even 🤣. I’ve had Covid (better now) but I clearly still don’t know what day it is!

@HerRoyalWitchyness so jealous as only allow myself bailey's at christmas but it's def pre-christmas and I am judging myself for not having any.
Red wine to go with the fish and chips and now now having a brandy.
