So they open at 0600 tomorrow. How long do you think we'll be stuck in a queue to get one. And will all the good ones be gone by the time we do

I was 79,000 plus and based on this thread I went in on the app and have slots on two days Christmas week, in a work of moments.

I have had email confirmation on both, I will release one, once I know whether we can travel at Christmas.

It would appear the app is the way to go.

I just woke up at 6.15, went onto the app and booked a slot without having to wait. It does seem to be very different for different people.

Booked. Phew!
Also the week before.
So now I have a slot every week up to Christmas.
Some weird times fir delivery but if I was that fussed I could drive 15 miles there and 15 miles back which would take me an hour and cost about a fiver in petrol plus my time shopping for us and dd and mil.
It’s worth it to me !

It's frustrating that people can jump the queue but I will say once you're on the site it's much easier and less glitchy than last year. I struggled to checkout last year and it was a nightmare. This time was done in 1 minute .

Slot booked for 23rd 10-11am 🙌🏼

I got in the queue at 5.45, after checking at 5.40 when there was no slits and no queue. Number 24000… took about half an hour to get to the front and then I got the slot I wanted so I’m happy.

My wait time just dropped dramatically from 48 to 16 min! There is hope.

I'll not lie I was very smug last year vwhen everyone was using the app and in a massive queue and I got in instantly on browser. Not so lucky today

There are still clearly glitches but I think the new queue system is better
By now all good slots are usually gone and they aren't so they've clearly learned something from past years
It's not right some got slots at 5am or can get on without queuing but so far nobody's missed out on what they wanted. Keep going and good luck!!

Got in, it didn't take as long as it said and still got Thursday morning which I wanted.

I am 109151 in the queue on the pc - but I've just gone straight in on the app and booked 16th and 23rd December.

Thank you for this - it didn't occur to me to do the missing week of the 16th, & I'd just logged out of the w/s. Managed to log straight back in & put in an order for that week, too.

LOLetc - Tesco flagged up the Delivery Saver option about a month ago & I joined then.

Slot booked on app at 5.50. Got straight on.

I did have to Google who that was sorry seems to be completely random, last year took me an hour I think! Used the app and logged on just before 6am not expecting the slots to be on there already

9 minutes to go. :)

Got up ready for 6am… and then my child unceremoniously vomited all over my bed. Only now in a position to log in and am 180,000 in the queue 🤦🏼‍♀️

Just logged on out of curiosity and I’m 172443 in the queue! I’ll release my place. Good luck to everyone!

I was 95000 odd in the queue at 5.45. Took an hour but easily got a slot early on Christmas Eve.

I’m now 76,000. It had got down to 27 minutes remaining but has just jumped up to over an hour again.

Thanks for the thread. How were you notified that it opened today? We're delivery members and didn't receive notification. We can only see up to 6th December. Luckily we don't need an xmas slot this year as we're not hosting, but that's a bit rubbish. Will have to call later and find out what the issue is.
