What time do you go to bed?

During the Summer months we were usually out until at least 10pm, almost never in bed before midnight sometimes even later.

Now its dark and cold I have been tucked up with my electric blanket, extra warm winter duvet and a book since 7.30pm.

I won't be getting out until 7am tomorrow when the alarm goes off and even then I will hit snooze for half an hour

Apparently I'm like an elderly lady Confused Hmm

I used to go to bed between 11pm and midnight if I was home but if I was out for the night it would be more like 12am-1am this is when I had work the next day. Could be anytime at the weekend. Then I had children!!!! Now It’s more like 10pm most nights or even earlier.

MoreThanAnOffDay · 02/11/2021 21:27

Midnight ish. But every morning we say we're going to bed earlier.. And NEVER do. We got a TV for the bedroom so we in theory would go to bed and watch TV especially in darker months. Happened maybe 10 times in 2 years.
DH is currently helping a friend so by time home and showers etc it'll be gone 11. Then a cuppa and a catch up.

Were one of 'those' couples who wait for the other to go to bed. No idea why!

Bouledeneige · 02/11/2021 21:43

12-1.30

CoodleMoodle · 02/11/2021 21:52

We have dinner with the kids at 5:30, then they're in bed at 7:30 and 8:30.

I usually go to bed between 10:30 and 11pm, although recently I've been laying in bed on my phone until midnight (not much later, though). It's a terrible habit and I always end up regretting it. Kids are usually awake by 7am everyday but don't come in until 7:30... Still not enough sleep for me! One of them usually wakes up at least once in the night, too. Not for long but sometimes I find it hard to go back to sleep.

TokyoSushi · 02/11/2021 21:52

Between about 10:45 and 11:30pm, I can never get up in the morning whatever time I go to bed!

GTAlogic · 02/11/2021 21:54

If I could be nocturnal I would be. I often go to bed after 1a.m. if I'm not sleepy and lay in as long as possible. If I'm not working I'll have a nap during the day, especially if the dc are at school. I don't like going to bed at night but I loathe and detest getting up on a morning.

WomanWomenGirlsFemale · 02/11/2021 22:06

slightlysnippy yes I meant 2/3am GrinGrinGrin I like to keep busy I've just never needed much sleep.

slightlysnippy · 02/11/2021 23:14

@WomanWomenGirlsFemale

You must have the same gene as Margaret Thatcher, I worked with a chap who was similar only needs 4 hours sleep a night. I Was always a bit jealous as he was very productive.

AnnieSnap · 03/11/2021 00:18

I can rarely sleep before 2am, often 3am. Sometimes I go to bed then, sometimes earlier with my book.

MrsSkylerWhite · 03/11/2021 00:19

Like you, pretty early in winter, usually about 9. Watch telly or read until at least 11 though.

amsadandconfused · 03/11/2021 00:29

If I go to sleep by 11pm I am wide awake by 3am ..am going to sleep tonight later and hope I am not awake until 8ish !!🤞

badlydrawnbear · 03/11/2021 00:31

About 1am these days. It turns out bereavement ruined bed time.
Before, I went to bed between 10 and 11pm and aimed to turn the light off at 11. I also worked night shifts sometimes so went to bed at between 9 and 10am

MrsSiba · 03/11/2021 00:44

Around 11/11.30pm and get up around 7/7.30 although usually awake around 6.30. Should go up earlier as I am tired and falling asleep around 9 but I was always a night owl before kids and old habits die hard!

NotMyCat · 03/11/2021 00:49

Well I'm still awake Grin
Usually between midnight and 2am and get up (depending on work) between 7.15am and 8.45am
Every so often my body goes "seriously, you need sleep" and I go to bed at 8pm. I do often nap though (chronic medical stuff)

TheEvilPea · 03/11/2021 01:31

Too late, clearly! Grin

immersivereader · 03/11/2021 01:33

10pm (live abroad, only 9.30pm here)

SleepingStandingUp · 03/11/2021 01:36

DSs night feed finishes at 11.15 so we go up then. Twin 1 has been awake since 10.30 so I'm yet to get to bed tonight

Labracadabradoodle · 03/11/2021 02:28

Go to bed at 8am. Up at 2pm.
Except for weekends, then I join the normal world.

redtshirt50 · 03/11/2021 02:38

I need 7/8 hours sleep or I will be horribly grumpy the next day, so I aim to get to sleep between 10:30-11.

I'll go to bed an hour or so before and read/watch tv.

I get up between 6-7 depending on when my dog decides to get up.

LoveFall · 03/11/2021 02:39

I take the dog out at 9 pm for a quick wee, and then get in bed and watch something mindless like Below Deck for about 40 minutes, then go to sleep (hopefully).

garlictwist · 03/11/2021 05:43

I've always been an early to bed, early to rise person. I am shattered by 9pm and usually go to bed and straight to sleep around then, and wake up around 5-6am.

GoodbyePorpoiseSpit · 03/11/2021 05:52

Sleep by 10 but could be earlier up 5

Waxonwaxoff0 · 03/11/2021 06:13

I get into bed after I put DS to bed at 8. My bedtime varies depending on what time I have to get up as I start work at different times. Usually between 9pm-10pm in the week. Some nights I need more sleep than others.

Neurodiversitydoctor · 03/11/2021 06:16

Between 9-10pm, asleep by 10:30 at the weekend all bets are off as teens frequently need collecting from far flung places. Up 5:30 in the week, 6:30 at the weekend.

Taffeta · 03/11/2021 06:20

About 10.30-11pm, awake usually 5.30-6am
