Make me envious with your half-term plans!

First day of half-term here and two dc under 10. What are your plans? Eldest is autistic and only wants screentime (doesn't get it unlimited) and days out are challenging. Getting outside is always good. Urgh, and I have to feed the blighters all day!

Space- how do you manage the cold? Are you camping long?

Misty9 · 29/10/2021 16:56

@inappropriateraspberry

We have done sweet FA! DS still has a rotten cold and it's been peeing it down every day. My sisters have visited, but I'm so glad my children are happy at home playing, drawing etc! I'm telling myself this is teaching them valuable life skills and making sure they're not reliant on being 'entertained' all the time!
That's what I tell my dc - that I'm not their entertainer! Grin and if they say they're bored I say (annoyingly!) I can't wait to see what you do with that!

Mine are with their dad now so it's been back to work for me. Enjoy camping!

I spent today in Seville.
It was 20 degrees and we ate outside with a view of the Cathedral
It did start to rain but only as we reached the motorway on the way back to where we are staying .

Oh, I loved Seville. Have you been on the giant mushroom thing yet? And that's definitely made me envious!

It’s one of my favourite places too Misty9
We have been to the mushroom before but not this time. We are lucky to own a property about 1.5 hours away so we often go when we come here. We were a bit pushed for time today though as DD insisted on spending (what felt like) hours in bloody Zara and we wanted to leave before the rain arrived, plus we were meeting friends for dinner at 8 back here.
Hopefully we will go again at Easter and might visit the mushroom again

We have 2 weeks half term. This week dd has been at my parents or my friends while i work, tbh I've hardly seen her. We have family visiting this weekend. Next week we have a few days in Dorset on a holiday park, with a hot tub. Looking forward to a rest and imagine we might have grown gills by the end of the week with all the time in the hot tub and swimming pool !

@Doughnuts68 just for one night. We have super cosy sleeping bags, it was only cold getting into our pjs then we were all snuggly!
