Accidental WhatsApp chat

I’ve been flitting all day between a chat group with DH, a colleague and our work chat.
I’ve alluded to DH that sex is on the cards tonight when he finishes his late shift. We’ve been flirting back and to all afternoon but I’ve accidentally sent one of the convos to my colleague. It was a simple statement but I now look like a needy idiot.
My colleague is a sixty year old, happily married man and I have quickly deleted the message. Not sure he read it but has replied “ No worries , mate”.
I need to resign, don’t I? 😩

@Hoppinggreen

I accidentally sent a text to my boss once who was sitting across the office from me who had a similar name to DH. It read “I bet you would rather be at home getting a BJ right now wouldn’t you?” He walked across the office and held the screen up and said “well obviously but I think both me and (Mr Hopping) will have to wait until 5”
Nooooo!!! What did you do?!

Well OP if your idea of dirty messaging is “I’d like you to do removing of knickers” then he’s probably just more sad for your partner Grin Wink

@Laiste

OP i texted my elderly prudish mother the most filthy text meant for DH (then lover) and had to leg it up the road, sneak into her house, delete the text and sneak out again. Thought i was going to have a heart attack Grin

he wont forget

I know this sounds like a made up story, but I promise it's true...

I had sex while my mobile was on the bed and somehow initiated a call to my boss's very upright secretary, mid- shag 😳 To make it worse, the reason she was in my call log was that I had rung to say I'd be in half an hour late because I had to drop my car at the garage when, in fact, I wanted a shag (this was when I was in my 20s). When I realised what I had done, I seriously nearly resigned.

I managed to get into work before her, sneak into her office and erase both the original message and the shag sound track.. THANK FUCK Have never been more relieved in my life.

Hoppinggreen · 12/10/2021 18:23

I moved to Panama obviously

LessthanJurassicPark · 12/10/2021 18:26

Mine is almost a quarter as embarrassing.

My boss said “I love you, bye”.

I replied “Ah I love you too”

She was talking to her boyfriend.

But I actually do love her Grin

BloggingHeavan · 12/10/2021 18:30

@DreadtheShred

I did this the other day.

Only it was to my partner's Dad.

Friday night dinner was fucking horrific.

What did you say?!! And was it brought up? Grin
blacksax · 12/10/2021 18:32

@SinnerLikeMe

And the only thing left to do was to post about it on mumsnet....Hmm
Or read a thread about it, of course.
cricketmum84 · 12/10/2021 18:34

Have you ever fancied living in Yemen OP?

15 Yemen Road, Yemen.

Inthesameboatatmo · 12/10/2021 18:39

@yesitsbess.
That has made me snort with laughter.

HeartsAndClubs · 12/10/2021 18:40

Several people I know are on whatsapP groups where they send voice instead of text messages. The wife of a friend of mine sent a message to one of these groups which was intended for the bloke she was having an affair with. It was a 5 minute long message, describing in great detail all the things she would like to do to him, and the things she would like him to do to her. Someone warned her it was there but by then enough people had listened to it and it couldn’t be deleted at their end.

Inthesameboatatmo · 12/10/2021 18:40

Op how mortifying, I think lots of us have been there done that to some extent, doesn't help you at the moment though sorry.

Dinosauria · 12/10/2021 18:48

@Greencauliflowers

You know you can delete messages before they’re seen on WhatsApp?
Do you know there is an app that saves all WhatsApp messages before they are deleted
Judystilldreamsofhorses · 12/10/2021 18:54

Nothing saucy, but once I was expecting my friend round for a Friday evening takeaway and wine. I text her a list of a few things to pick up on the way, including Ben and Jerry’s ice cream, in a message starting “hello my darling”. I accidentally sent it to my manager’s manager, whose name started with the same two letters. He replied saying he assumed I had sent it to the wrong person, but for future reference he preferred Haageh Dazs.

Squiz81 · 12/10/2021 18:56

The thing you haven’t thought of is, that if now something does happen tonight you won’t be able to stop thinking about the work colleague…

Lollypop701 · 12/10/2021 19:04

Not a text but I was running for train, thought I saw a person I knew quite well but couldn’t stop. As I say was running… so just yelled boo as I ran past. Wasn’t the person I thought it was and I think I nearly gave her and her colleagues a heart attack .. lucky I was running Tbf!

MyrtlethePurpleTurtle · 12/10/2021 19:13

These things happen ☺️

HestersSamplerofCarrots · 12/10/2021 19:17

Could be worse. You could have made an absolutely HORRENDOUS completely unintentional double entendre to your boss on a teams call and then compounded the problem by turning bright red and stuttering your way through the rest of the call.

Monkeymilkshake · 12/10/2021 19:17

I hear panama’s great at this time of year! Don’t forget to pack your knickers.
