Accidental WhatsApp chat

I’ve been flitting all day between a chat group with DH, a colleague and our work chat.
I’ve alluded to DH that sex is on the cards tonight when he finishes his late shift. We’ve been flirting back and to all afternoon but I’ve accidentally sent one of the convos to my colleague. It was a simple statement but I now look like a needy idiot.
My colleague is a sixty year old, happily married man and I have quickly deleted the message. Not sure he read it but has replied “ No worries , mate”.
I need to resign, don’t I? 😩

Chat is on mumsnet is it not. Weird that you’re so embarrassed but need to tell more people cos that’ll help. Attention needed?

Hmm

It’s a fun anecdote. Embarrassing, yes but a bit of light hearted fun. Chill out, mate. I found it funny. No attention required. ….unless it’s about you. I fucked up with a message, thought it was funny, thought I’d share my embarrassment.

It's anonymous ffs - why would she be embarrassed posting here, we don't know who she is 😂

Oh do jog on. We're enjoying a thread in chat about an unfortunate WhatsApp fail we can relate to, not in a therapy session.
SnowyPetals · 12/10/2021 17:41

Anyway, back to you OP, I would be mortified if I did that. But on the plus side, your colleague knows you've still got it!

moonshine3600 · 12/10/2021 17:44

😂😂 I wouldn't return to work

Worse thing I did was reply to a client, got confused half way through when DPs message banner popped up and ended my message with xxx 😘

@KingsleyShacklebolt

Children in Spain were confined inside - many of them in apartments - for 7 weeks.

SEVEN WEEKS. Please let's not hold up locking up kids inside their houses for 7 weeks as something to aspire to.

I speak fluent Spanish and dip in and out of Spanish language newspapers and websites. Their track and trace system was widely held up to be total crap as each autonomous region was doing its own thing, some better than others. The only reason they had to lockdown SO hard in March 2020 was they were in such deep shit with care homes in particular - if I recall correctly the national/regional governments had to step in and run care homes as the infrastructure was so poor.

So let's not paint Spain - or anywhere else for that matter - as this utopia where everything's lovely and the government is amazing. It's back to that similarly shite argument that the UK is the laughing stock of the world and the rest of Europe can't wait for the next installment about how we are coping. The reality is they don't care.

Wrong thread? 🤣

I laughed more at this than at the OP.

OP, there is no chance that he will forget about this. If he's nice then he won't mention it though and will pretend it never happened.

I live in a house with bay windows. One morning my female neighbour and I opened our bedroom curtains at exactly the same time, getting a full frontal view of eachother in bra and knickers. It has never been acknowledged by either of us.

Laiste · 12/10/2021 17:58

OP i texted my elderly prudish mother the most filthy text meant for DH (then lover) and had to leg it up the road, sneak into her house, delete the text and sneak out again. Thought i was going to have a heart attack Grin

he wont forget

DreadtheShred · 12/10/2021 17:59

I did this the other day.

Only it was to my partner's Dad.

Friday night dinner was fucking horrific.

Finfintytint · 12/10/2021 18:02

He’s a nice guy. Doesn’t do the smutty innuendo that a lot of my other male colleagues do. He will hopefully move on and let it go.

I've done the 'love you, bye' thing on a professional work call, does that count?

godmum56 · 12/10/2021 18:10

thank you OP, I needed a good laugh

Hoppinggreen · 12/10/2021 18:11

I accidentally sent a text to my boss once who was sitting across the office from me who had a similar name to DH. It read
“I bet you would rather be at home getting a BJ right now wouldn’t you?”
He walked across the office and held the screen up and said “well obviously but I think both me and (Mr Hopping) will have to wait until 5”
