What’s a baby shower all about

I’ve managed to reach 45yrs old without attending a baby shower.

Will be attending one next week.

I can’t shake the feeling that it’s a bit showy and cringe.

Why can’t gifts and well wishes be given once the baby is safely arrived?

I'm pregnant with my first and my beloved sister-in-law is organising my baby shower. I'm really looking forward to it.....she's making cupcakes.....🙈

All your friends and family buy the kit you need.

They're very popular in America but not here which is why it seems weird.

My niece had one for each of hers and we were given a link to the USA Amazon site for her wishlist. It had everything from pram, cot, changing table, down to nappies and baby powder
