Bad Amazon delivery driver

So we've obviously got a new person assigned to the area and ever since they've dropped the packages and ran off. Some of the packages are big and heavy and I can't lift them in through the door. The previous drivers were very professional and helped me out. I've reported the issue as the driver isn't waiting for me to even get to the door and doesn't know if I'm even in before taking off in his van! They're not left in my safe space so are on view to thieves.
I've since had a few packages being quoted as undeliverable and I'm wondering if the driver has the ability to mess things up for me now and not deliver the things I order and just say undeliverable? Anyone know if this is possible? I'll be calling them tomorrow to raise my concerns anyway.

You get a time frame of when it will be delivered so why don’t you put a note on your door addressed to ‘Amazon Driver’ at the beginning of the time frame to give clear instructions to him as to where you want the parcel deposited.

@FishesWithWishes

I think he's 18 so probably doesn't give a shit and is too immature to realise I'll get him his job lost if he keeps this up!
No you won’t, honey.

Their working conditions are terrible and they are expected to deliver a huge number of parcels.

Most companies are only contracted to deliver to your doorstep anyway and not carry things indoors if you order things that are too heavy for you to manage.

I get several Amazon drivers deliver in my area.
Some of them drop and run!
Some wait until I answer the door and have even made me confirm my DOB!

The only thing that annoys me is when the item is small and can be posted through the letter box. Yet they still knock the door to place it in my hands! (It's not like it's signed for delivery)

You want him fired?! Jesus - get a grip

Wow, that's a really shitty and vindictive thing to say and do. Feel free to complain to Amazon and hopefully they will fix it.

Delivery drivers have a terrible time. They are paid really badly, have terrible conditions and have such a tight schedule it is almost impossible to meet their targets.

Is it always the same driver? I seem to get different drivers almost every time.

You'll be doing him a favour. Amazon are appalling employers. Have you seen how many parcels the poor buggers get to deliver?

Getting him sacked indeed, aren't you a peach. Do you demand to see a manager in restaurants as well for bugger all?Hmm

HunterHearstHelmsley · 29/09/2021 20:28

Wow. Hopefully Amazon will back their driver up.

Mine are mainly left on my doorstep (if too large to go through the letterbox) if there is a car on the drive, otherwise they tend to lob them over the fence. I would never expect the driver to bring my orders into my house for me.

CharlotteRose90 · 29/09/2021 21:05

Aren’t you lovely. You order things you can’t pick up so you expect them to drop it off. Deliveries are contact free anyway they shouldn’t be coming in your house. Most drivers drop it at the door on by the side of the door and go. How about you order and pay for proper delivery of items rather then be cheeky and expect it from Amazon. The cheek of wanting him to be sacked because you are too lazy to organise a proper company and want special treatment

You are a very nasty person, delivery drivers are not your personal servants.
