I have been doing market research on this eating lots of crisps and am happy to report that skips are still as good as ever, I think they might even be stronger than before which makes a change.

The way he described it is that quavers are made by drying off the starchy scum that rises to the top of big vats of boiling potatoes.

They're basically a waste product.

Twisted flamin’ hot Cheetos have gone terrible too barely any flavour left and the coils are all open and long not tight like springs. Outrageous.

Same thing has happened to Wotsits. I buy them regularly so it's not a case of "haven't bought them for ages and oooh they've changed them', I'd say the last 3 multipacks I've bought the wotsits are smaller and have a more dense / crunchy consistency than they used to, and they are a bit less cheesy. Not impressed.

Yes indeed - Wotsits are way smaller than they used to be. You'd always get the odd one that was smaller than the rest, and now the runts of the bag are absolutely teeny tiny! It bothers me more than I care to admit

The absolute worst thing that has happened to food and drink in recent years is, by a country mile, the replacement of sugar in soft drinks with horrible artificial sweeteners which give you bellyache and leave this horrible aftertaste that is completely impossible to shift. Drives me mad!

The poster who mentioned giant Wotsits - I can safely say these will not disappoint. We are addicted to them in our house now, particularly the Flaming Hot ones.
Also tried giant Monster Munch which are really good too. Makes me feel like a child again because of the size of them.

You all need to get down Lidl for the copy savoury/fake/retro/salty ‘snax’

Most crisps are terrible now.

For good cheap crisps loaded with enumbers, salt and fat that aren't made of fucking lentils or something I can recommend the Bobby's brand. They do onion rings, prawn cocktail twists, beef grills, barbq ribs that are actually shaped like ribs and quite a few others. You can get them in little local corner shops very often.

Aw Quavers were so good when they had fat in, like a cheesy version of prawn crackers.

Frazzles are still ok but the packets are smaller!!

I love Quavers. I also love Skips and always had a hard time choosing between them. Imagine my joy when they brought back prawn cocktail Quavers!

Now my dilemma is whether or not to buy the prawn cocktail or the salt and vinegar ones...

They’ve changed Monster Munch too. They used to be open textured and very rough and crispy. Now they are smooth and close textured and feel squeaky in your mouth. I thought it was a random bad bag but the multi pack I bought last week are the same. Gutted!

Try the Aldi monster munch, particularly the beef ones. Honestly so much better 😋 I realised the real ones had gone gross a few months ago and switched.

Golden Wonder, you can get them in Home Bargains.

Have a look at Tescos, cheese curls or something like that, very tasty

Posters mentioning Wotsits clearly haven’t tried the Aldi ones 😂 Amazing 😋 I eat them with one on either side of my mouth (when no-ones looking) for double cheesiness.

I thought Giant Wotsits were the answer to everything but my last bag of cheesy ones had that awful open, puffy texture. Hot ones are fantastic though - nice and dense! I will try a few more sample bags just to doible check...
