What's for dinner tonight?

I've no clue what to have. I really want a Chinese but don't know if I should cook instead.

Anything exciting for you tonight??

Bagel pizzas made by DD (11). Surprisingly good and satisfying!

Pizza, roast new potatoes (as the pizza isn’t really big enough), coleslaw and green salad.

I cooked Chinese using my ancient Ken Hom book. My son hated it.

We are on the west coast of Canada so dinner is not for awhile yet.

I wish it was still garden fresh pea season.

Your green beans sound good. Maybe not with sausage and mash but I love them with a finely minced garlic clove, a bit of walnut oil, and a splash of balsamic vinegar. Salt and pepper. Really nice and different.

We shared a very large, beautifully fresh corn cob from the market - 50p! - then pasta amatriciana, it was delicious. Finished off with poached plums.

I am now craving fresh corn with lashings of butter.

Four for a dollar at the farm market right now. I love their "peaches and cream" variety.

We've decided to stop getting takeaways so tonight is veggie chicken goujons on a brioche bun with blue cheese and Frank's hot sauce and some wedges.

This sounds lovely we aren't veggie but trying to eat more plant based and this sounds fab where do you get the goujons from please

Tonight I think I'll do burritos. I have a fair bit of beef mince to use up.
This week we are having:
Vietnamese pork lettuce wraps
Loaded hot dogs
Salmon pasta
Sausage and mash
Not sure what else
We usually get a takeaway on Saturdays

Here's the 2 day short rib of beef with maple glazed roots - it was heaven! And the blackberry gin cocktail. No pictures of dessert, it was tasty but not insta-worthy!

We made our own Chinese last night. Salt and pepper squid with a chilli dipping sauce followed by a beef curry and as near to Chinese chips as I could get!
We're not having tea today as we're having a late lunch out but I do have pate, cheese and crackers on hand if anyone gets hungry.

Cottage pie … ready meal …. Lots of fresh picked garden greens...
