I've just watched Boiling Point and he's just amazing. Every role he plays he's so convincing and mesmerising to watch. In all the interviews I've watched with him he always comes across as such a nice bloke. I'll be very upset if someone comes on to say he's actually a twat in real life!

I've spoken to him on the phone at work and he was a really lovely man. It made my day that he was so nice.

There are a lot of actors out there, but few of them have ‘it’ and Stephen does in bucketloads.

I think my favourite scene was when he was Combo, and Milky is telling him about his close family and Combo is clearly getting more jealous/angry/upset but trying not to show it. Combo is pretty awful but a very complex and damaged person, and every time I watch it it makes me cry.

The interesting thing is that Stephen is actually mixed race although his pinnacle role was a white racist skinhead.

OH and the scene in TIE 1990 when he meets with the panel who are deciding whether he should be let out of jail for manslaughter.

The bit when he says ‘As well as asking for forgiveness, I’ve also learned to forgive the people who hurt me’

That line really, really got to me.

Just brought me out in goosebumps writing it!

I think you get them on IPlayer ?

Watched the jail one earlier this year.
Can't wait for next, with Cromer, starting 16th.

He was in Save Me, playing a pretty complex character and was brilliant.

I think he's the best actor in the UK today, absolutely. Everything he appears in is acting gold thanks to him. The fact he's also apparently a lovely person is cherry on the cake.

Oh I love him. He lives near to me but sadly I've never had the fortune to bump into him. Like PP have said it's an old mining town that is very un-starry which makes me rate him more.

If he could visit the coop with Leo one day that would be great.

He also does a lot of fundraising locally.

Plus yes, top actor.
