Shower at night?

Do you shower before bed and then not in the morning?
I'm trying to streamline our mornings and saw on another thread that some people shower at night not morning. This would fit in I think but in thinking it's a bit strange to go to work not showered that day? Will try it this week but does anyone do it and feel clean and put together in the morning?

I’ll shower again in the morning if we have sex though, but we mostly do that on the weekends anyway.

I do this as I just prefer to wash before getting into bed. I don't have much time in the mornings. I am used to it now. Used to always shower in the morning.

I like to shower the night before. Makes the school run go more smoothly.

Yes we have sex but I just have a separate clean down there after.

If you are sweaty you need to do both, but one or other is fine for most people (unless you’ve had sex or it’s especially hot at night.)

It certainly does streamline mornings.

I would prefer to shower at night but I definitely sweat during the night so would feel too unclean to go to work after that.

I sometimes (if I’m feeling organised and can be bothered) have a shower at night to wash my hair then I can just have a super quick dip in the morning which works well but obviously you are sacrificing more time in general to showering.

Yeah sometimes at night. #lifehack don't dry your hair, put a towel on the pillow and let it dry out overnight, you then have fresh hair for the morning

This is mumsnet, where you are filthy if you don’t shower 3 times a day mimimum- morning, when you get in, before bed, and throw in another one if you go to the gym. And yes you do smell, you just don’t notice because you stink so much you’ve gone nose blind. We can all smell you on the tube when you don’t shower in the morning.

Morning shower here. I'll occasionally have a pamper bath in the evening but I prefer to shower in the morning, wakes me up for the day.

Both morning and evening! A morning shower wakes me up and makes me feel ready for the day. I don't drink tea or coffee so need something Grin

Yep I shower at night. Saves me time in the morning, can wash and dry my hair with worrying about time etc. Occasionally have a quick morning top up but I’ve been doing it this way for years.

I go to the gym in the evening so shower when I get back from there. I also prefer washing my hair the night before because it's curly and takes forever.

For me, what's saved most time in the mornings has been ditching make up when I started WFH. I look like shit but I can't face getting up an hour earlier to do it. Sad

I shower after exercise which is five or six days out of seven sometimes morning sometimes early evening both good times for hair washing and letting it dry naturally.

I sweat overnight, always have even before baby and the post partum sweating!

Do you just put on deodorant in the morning then? I can't imagine not having a wash.

I shower at night. I hate getting into bed with the day’s grime on me. I’d only shower in the morning if I’d had sex or been for an early morning run.

As long as we are home in the evening, we shower with the children at 7pm. Either actually in the shower with them or whilst they have a bath. (In turns with DH so they are still supervised!). Our bed stays cleaner and no need to dry my hair as I let it air dry in the evening.

If I go to bed with wet hair, I wake up with a messy perm!

I always shower at night (occasionally in the mornings at weekend). DH would never leave the house having not showered, so we'd be fighting for the shower Hmm

It's great as it brings your temp down if you are prone to night sweats. You still feel fresh on waking to 😄

But it only takes about 2 minutes to have a shower! No-one is so filthy that they have to be in ages. So twice daily for me.

That would drive me nuts! I always sleep terribly if I go to bed with even remotely damp hair

Shower and hair wash in the evening then quick shower without wetting my hair in the morning.
I can't not shower in the morning.
