Obviously stupid.

I have a cordless electric carpet sweeper, which is great for a quick tidy up. However after around 4 years, the battery went into a huff and refused to charge up.
I ordered a new battery which is due to arrive today, so I plugged the sweeper in to charge so it would be ready to go once my DH had put the new battery in.
Some thirty minutes later, I realised that actually I was charging the dud battery, not the actual sweeper! 😳
Obviously stupid.
Please tell me your obviously stupid moments to make me feel, well, less obviously stupid.

Ashamed to admit that there's been more than one time at work where I've frantically asked where one of our babies is.... While they've been chilling out quite happily in my arms 🤦‍♀️

I'm quite a good cook but pastry has always eluded me, in that I've never tried to make it because I'm scared. My sister suggested I buy Jus- roll. I liked that idea and asked, ' What do you do with it ?'

I can't be the only person to strain lovingly-made chicken stock (from the carcass) to end up with a colander of bones and vegetables while the liquid goes down the plug hole...
I strain mine on the worktop for this very reason

Not me, but out for an Indian meal with people who didn't know each other well & one of the group absentmindedly helped herself to the dish of Bombay mix in the middle of the table.

It wasn't Bombay mix. It was pot pourri.

I'm currently walking with a stick. The number of times I've gone upstairs without it, and then had to go downstairs on my bum because upright descent is too dangerous...

My mum left her phone over my house so I texted her telling her she left her phone Blush 15 minutes later I saw the phone again and texted her again to tell her she left her phone Blush

In today's installment of obviously stupid...

Just got my new varifocals delivered. My first multifocal glasses. They are great. I can read without removing my glasses. Yet I keep removing them to use my phone..doh!

Bought filter grind coffee instead of cafetière grind. Binned it and bought 2 replacement packs. Which were also filter grind!!

I have ransacked the house for my car keys on several occasions...because the guy has phoned to tell us it's ready for collection
Even got DH involved once because I knew he had had them last. When he took the car to the garage..

Also have done the washing thing.... shaking it out to peg it on the line and thinking it had not come up as clean as it should.
