It is really sad. It sounds like they believe it to have been suicide as they had to do a welfare check. What I find really awful is how there are so many photos of him and Melissa George being published today when it is well known that they hated each other. Let his own face be enough! The poor man

Oh that's so sad.
I remember seeing him while filming H&A I was sitting on the beach in the background of the shot. He made H&A a decent soap to watch!

It turns up in lots of those where are you now articles, or the ones about actors who had close roles but hated each other (like Stana Katic and Nathan Fillion in Castle). I suppose a lot of people don't read those stories though!!

From what I know she was a bit of a diva on set and didn't get on much with anyone as she felt she was above them all. It is so sad from being such a well known character of my childhood. I wonder what was going thru his head :(

What was going on for him. He was in a really dark place and i don't think they ever really knew how accidental or not his death was

So sad, bless him and his family. I was obsessed with Shane and Angel when I was little and used to dream about having a boyfriend like that when I grew up! Always so tragic when people who’ve created so much happiness for others are in such pain themselves

Heath Ledger died of an accidental overdose. He was an addict but he was in the middle of a film and I definitely don't think it was considered suicide.

Sorry, thought I'd posted my correction. Yes accidental overdose from prescription drugs which had unfortunate complications when mixed. Not a happy concoction of meds though, no one on that cocktail is in a good place. I love his last movie and think its so clever how they kept him in.

No, I agree, he was in a bad place . So sad. I also think it's very clever and touching that they kept him in the film.

Found out yesterday but so sad. Was literally obsessed with Dieter in the 90s. Cried like a baby when he died in H&A. Probably one of my first real crushes!
