Arsehole neighbours

Need a moan and I'm beyond fucked off with my neighbours today.
What is wrong with people these days? Why has no one any consideration for their neighbours anymore?

We've had 8hrs (so far - it's still ongoing) of wanky dance music played through a massive sound system. As far as we were aware, it was supposed to be a small kids party. The kids are no older than 10 so surely this shite music isn't what they listen to? It's so loud it's shaking the house.

I have a 1yr old who couldn't nap or go down tonight due to her room being like a disco. It's horrendous. She's been up since 6am so she's causing havoc. The noisy twats have quite a few kids so must know how awful it is when other people stop your kids sleeping but they obviously don't care now that theirs are older.

Our delightful neighbours went out earlier today, I thought great we might actually be able to watch the match in peace and decided against going somewhere else to watch it, but of course they have just arrived home. I heard their door slam and within SECONDS the music has gone on. I'm absolutely f**ing sick of it. Why do people have to be so selfish

Mine kindly gave us a reprieve this morning. I’m not even going to say what he’s doing at the moment as it could be outing, but I’m tempted to watch the match with my heavy duty ear defenders on

Why aren't there more laws against this, why don't the police have more power? It makes it so much worse knowing there isn't much you can do apart from move and hope your new neighbours aren't as bad.

@SheldonesqueTheBstard totally understand about the uncharitable thoughts. I genuinely think I would have killed my previous neighbour if I'd stayed any longer. It affected my mental health so badly and I don't think people understand until they've been through it.

Your situation sounds unbearable. As was said upthread, the police should be able to enforce issues like this. Telling people to complain to the council does nothing. It's antisocial behaviour (and in many cases includes threatening behaviour) but no one gives enough of a shit to deal with it.

My neighbours have actually gone out to watch it somewhere else - it’s brilliant!

I’m sure it’ll be interesting when they get home but I don’t have to worry about that for the next hour

Yes exactly this!every little sound has my ears tuning in and my heart genuinely stops incase it's going to be them, it's turned me into a nervous wreck. Thankfully they have quietened down a bit but bracing myself for later.

Mine have just got back, strangely quiet for some reason… 🤷🏻‍♀️
