So far I've got

Tent
Sleeping bags
Pillows
Airbeds (oh what luxury / didn't happen in my day Grin )
Pump
Batteries
Torches & lantern
Picnic set
Dry robes / towels
Swimming costumes
Torches
Frying pan
Pot
Paddling pool (probably won't fill with water but they all enjoyed just hanging out in it with pillows and blankets last time)
Outdoor toys
Food
Booze
More booze

There's a fire and BBQ to cook on, not bothering with gas stoves etc.

We went last weekend. Wild woods camping..
Halloumi cheese on a Bbq. Mmmm!!

Agree with clothes airer - just a small one, but so useful

Extra foil-backed picnic blankets for your sleeping area - helps reduce the cold under the air beds

idontlikealdi · 30/06/2021 16:13

Extra towels or rugs for the living part of the tent if you have one, doormat for wiping feet outside
More blankets than you think
Crocs / flip flops for showers
Electric hook up - heater, electric pan, fans, chargers etc
Table and comfortable chairs not crappy picnic chairs
Onesies for kids at night
Bin bags, kitchen roll, bottle opener, tin opener, spare gas
More booze
More booze
More booze
Washing up kit if you are going to cook

a caravan

HappyCamperT5 · 30/06/2021 16:28

So many good ideas.
A nice warm jumper and socks for chilly evenings aswell.

BrownEyedGirl80 · 30/06/2021 16:38

Absinthe

cocoloco987 · 30/06/2021 16:41

I'd definitely take a gas stove. A bbq/fire is no substitute for morning hot water/beans/egg

dieblauenStrumpfhosen · 30/06/2021 16:44

Keep your things in separate bags so you always have access to dry things.

Also, test your airbed before you go to see how flat it goes through the night. A sleeping mat looks too flat to be comfortable, but it's handy to have on top of your airbed in case it deflates.

Also, a silk sleeping bag liner. Will keep you warm and cool if there's a heatwave.

Honestly? A flight mask and a massive massive gin.

Blueballinthegarden · 30/06/2021 17:02

Solar shower to hang up for quick hand washes and anything else that requires a quick squirt of water

HappyCamperT5 · 30/06/2021 17:07

A tin opener

yknaps · 30/06/2021 17:26

Having gone at the weekend, i am adding anti-histamines! 🤧

TheGenealogist · 30/06/2021 17:27

A credit card to book a hotel instead?

worktrip · 30/06/2021 18:25

Washing line if there is nothing on site.

Sycamoretrees · 30/06/2021 18:50

And clothes pegs for hanging up things to dry.

dieblauenStrumpfhosen · 30/06/2021 18:56

Yeah a really heavy duty sleeping mask. I went camping at the weekend and the night was very short.
Wilma55 · 30/06/2021 19:03

Fire blanket or extinguisher. Citronella candles.

cocoloco987 · 30/06/2021 19:21

Keep your things in separate bags so you always have access to dry things.

Or just store your suitcase in the car boot so protected from the elements at all times. Always keep anything I'd like to stay dry in the car when not using

MrsKeats · 30/06/2021 19:22

A hotel? Smile

BunnyRuddington · 30/06/2021 19:25

Cooking oil or spray oil. We seem to forget this almost every trip.

Washing up liquid.

Exploding Kittens.

More booze and very naice plastic glasses for said booze.

Itsanewdayforme · 30/06/2021 19:29

A front door mat (Trust me on this one.. avoids wet grass coming inside your tent in people’s shoes)

And a big bucket tub to put all of your shoes in.

And a load of wine

Souther · 30/06/2021 20:16

How are you going to transport all this stuff with you?

Have you got a minivan?

lachy · 30/06/2021 20:19

A roof box. Absolute game changer

and stops me wanting to impale my DH on the camping chairs when he's playing car tetris
