Hello! Just as the title says really. I have a newborn and am starting to have some visitors but am stuck for ideas for easy lunches, brunches or even snacks.

OP posts:

Pizza and garlic bread stick in oven +coleslaw, = done

Frozen pizzas are a good standby. Aldi and Iceland do tasty ones.

Pizza- shove them in the oven. Simple salad with it.

Or baguette with ham, cheese. salad items , shop bought quiche (help yourself table)

Store bought soup and rolls

Pasta bake and salad.

I’m surprised you’re providing food with a newborn but you might be like me.. a people pleaser!! Do what’s easy and comfortable and look after yourself xx

Make them bring you lunch, seriously! AND do the washing up (unless you have paper plates and bowls, these were a godsend when dd was a newborn).

French stick with filling in, our favourite is cheese, ham and pickle

Just bung a jacket potato in the oven. And ask them to grate some cheese.

Relax OP and focus on you and baby.

Visitors can visit and non-mealtimes or eat after they leave. They won't mind a bit.

I would definitely want to bring lunch to you not be catered for. Maybe a lovely cake, biscuits or some delicious sandwiches. I would never expect a new mother to provide anything more than directions to her kitchen so I could make her a drink and plate up the food. That's what real friends do.
