When does the summer holidays start for you?

Wondering when different parts of the country starts their summer holidays officially. Not that it’s going to make any difference for looking for availability for a last minute holiday!

SW England

1st of June but restart mid July and off again for September.

Leicestershire - 9th July

23rd July, NW England primary

9th July - Leicestershire

23rd July- west London

Friday 25th June - Wednesday 18th August, Shetland

14th July. South Wales primary school
Inset on 15/16 ffs

Highlands, we finish on Friday for seven weeks. Hooray!

London, 9th July, back 7th Sept.

16th July and off for 7 weeks instead of the usual 6

Half day this Thursday and that’s it.

16th July. Can't wait.
Just hoping for some nice weather and a few days out.

16th July and I can't wait. I need the break to recharge my batteries before going back in September.

Friday 16th July for dd2.
Very early July for dd1 (college).
All in Hampshire.

9th July they break up and return 6th September I'm in the N.E.

Our school has slightly longer school days than others in the area so they get the extra in the form of holidays.

Private schools in Bucks are 8-10th July, boarding schools the week before.
State secondaries in Bucks - 16th July.
State primaries - around 21st July.

Surrey

DS3 broke up on 28th May, last day of GSCE exams

DS2 (college) & DS4 (high school) -16th July

DS5 & DD (junior) and DS6 (infant) - 22nd July

after 16 years of going there it's our last 4 weeks of going to infant school. I can't fucking wait, there will be no tears just punching the air! (school runs are difficult)

You might win for earliest in England but I think I can win for latest, all the west Yorkshire schools don't finish until 27 July as far as I can tell.

This thread disappoints me as I didn't realise it wasn't like that for the whole country and my window to visit places before they get crowded with families is shorter than I'd hoped.
