@Chemenger most definitely not Grin
He can't even catch a spider and is recovering from getting himself stuck in a radiator 24hrs ago... ConfusedGrin
That's what he wants you to think. I have to ask - stuck in a radiator?

PawsQueen · 11/06/2021 09:57

@Chemenger we went to the vet because he got injured outside (no idea how) and they said he's just got sore front legs
About 5hrs later we were home after painkillers and I heard this horrific howling. He had jumped on the windowsill, gone to jump down and got his back claw/toe wedged in the top of the radiator grille. Was dangling upside with his leg twisted completely stuck and screaming

Poor thing! So now he has three sore legs?

PawsQueen · 11/06/2021 10:03

Oh yes. And he's only got one tooth too Grin

Idiot one toof cat is adorable! 😍

Just wanted to add that although extremely rare, people can potentially catch EBLV (a rabies type virus) from UK bats if they are bitten. So OP, admiring from a safe distance was definitely the good decision!

MummBraTheEverLeaking · 11/06/2021 11:00

Am I the only one who saw Bat! in the thread title and thought of Matt Berry's character in What We Do In The Shadows?

Our cat once bought in a robin, completely unharmed, flying about. All windows shut, it could only have come in via the catflap. DH came home early to grab some stuff before getting a taxi to the train station so he was running around the house trying to get the robin out before it arrived. It found an open window just in time. This was just after Christmas, we joked all the robin pictures on christmas cards gave the cat ideas Grin

Bats in the UK don’t carry disease - Covid, rabies or otherwise

Um, bats in the UK DO carry rabies!! Its very rare, but a man died after being bitten by a bat a few years ago on Scotland. They changed the laws and now all bat handlers have to be vaccinated against rabies!

An extremely small tiny chance though!

They really can’t hurt you just leave the windows open they’re cute. Honest ;)

Papergirl1968 · 12/06/2021 20:23

Dear god, Ollie. I'm sure I've said this before but that is one impressive yawn! [grin.] Glad Batty has escaped.
