True Crime on YouTube? Who do you love?

I discovered Bailey Sarian, Murder Mystery and Makeup, she's brilliant.

Kendall Rae is good.

I'm yet to find an English one that's as good as them.

Can anyone part their own wisdom of who they like?

@igotdemons

True Crime Recaps. Their longest videos tend to be just over 30 minutes, instead of 2 hours (which I can’t be bothered to watch!). Most of them are around 15 to 20 minutes. Great for short bursts of information and the married couple that do them are both really likeable.
I much prefer the 15-20 minute ones. I've just seen that Kendall Raes most recent one is over an hour. I'm not watching that.

@StopSayingDueDiligence

I generally don’t watch the really long ones either, some of them are 2 hours plus and I just can’t be bothered to watch something for that long. The only case I’ve watched longer videos on is the Chris Watts case because I’ve been obsessed by it and just needed to know everything I could find! 😣

True Crime Recaps are great because they’re short and to the point but they tell you everything you need to know. If it’s an evolving case, they will do further update videos as the info emerges. Highly recommended.

I listen to most of the above. Will listen to ones I haven't yet.

Danelle Hallen and John Lordan Arts do a monthly show called "Crime after Crime" on the first of every month and it's a lighter crime show that looks at the slightly silly, weird acts of crime.

If you’re still looking for someone who
is British, try Danielle Kirsty. She’s great!

blackheartsgirl · 12/06/2022 07:29

Danielle Kirsty would be great if she didn’t combine it with doing her make up. I find it rather distasteful when she’s discussing murders and applying her makeup at the same time. It’s rather distasteful to me.

there’s some other great suggestions though on this thread. Thanks for starting this op!

Emma kenny is amazing

Kendal Rae has a podcast on YT with her husband called Mile Higher Podcast. Her husband also has one called Lights Out which is meant to be darker stuff.

I have just discovered Mr Ballen- he is a great storyteller. He specialises in the ‘strange, dark and mysterious’, from true crime to unexplained disappearances, without being annoyingly over the top, like some. Videos range from 15mins to 45 mins and there are hundreds of them. Very addictive.

Coffeehouse Crime
That Chapter (another fan of Mike!)
FBI Files

On a slightly different tack I also enjoy the American Greed series. Its many episodes cover a huge variety of scams & frauds – some of which lead to murder.
