But yeah, trapped in a confined space with KH, JB or IK?

OMG. That’s like imagining being locked in a cupboard with Tommy Robinson, Nick Griffin or Nigel Farage. All thoroughly obnoxious, all very egotistical but one more likely to behave politely.

lljkk · 07/06/2021 21:33

Farage is the best in that trio...
Although I imagine TR or NG would more likely figure out away to escape -- which appeals.

Off his soapboxes I imagine Farage has got a chance at being mildly amusing, at least.

Maybe there's a chance for a #LightHearted thread here.

Blossomtoes · 07/06/2021 21:48

I just have to decide which one isn't constantly trying to impress others with their obnoxious opinions

In which case it’s impossible to choose between them.

What a choice though!

I wonder how many choices are truly this bad?

Serpenta · 07/06/2021 22:34

Imagine being stuck in a confined space with Tommy Robinson. He would be...twitchy.

PottingCompost · 07/06/2021 22:57

I"m going to have nightmares tonight.

CP26 · 07/06/2021 23:04

They’re both awful.

JB’s tweet about the baby name was abhorrent. I’m delighted she’s left Twitter now.

Rhannion · 07/06/2021 23:05

Both awful , it’s a race to the bottom with both of them, with Knight in the lead

Whoever said upthread that I said ‘pick your fighter’ not ‘pick your best friend’ was right.

Also, definitely Farage. He’s pretty small.

I saw him in Leicester Square just before lockdown. He walked past where I was eating, I clocked him, stood up but had to swallow my food before I could shout so missed my moment. My DH asked what I was doing and the look on his face when I told him if just missed the chance to call Farage a wanker. He was so disappointed in me

ha ha, at least you didn't choke in Leicester square!

SomethingOnce · 08/06/2021 10:12

Burchill all day long. Even when I disagree with her.

AlfonsoTheMango · 08/06/2021 11:25

I don't understand the philosophy that you have to like someone to agree with them.

Its a weird one isnt it

I don’t get it either but it only seems to happen online

You say something like ‘i agree with blair that abc’, then you get someone ‘yelling’ ‘ WELL YOU OBVIOUSLY AGREE THAT THE IRAQ WAR WAS RIGHT!!!!’

You can afford to eat in Leicester Square? Shock

They do do pizza by the slice !

I spotted the little fucking weasel a mile away. He was wearing one of those little creepy beige/brown coats all the obnoxious brokers wore in the 80s you knew they were the cunts and didn’t confuse them with everyone earning a living

He probably got it from Del Trrotter...another wide boy 😀
RufustheBadgeringReindeer · 08/06/2021 13:04

Actually that’s a fair point spindle the whole pizza is probably well expensive! 🍕

Serpenta · 08/06/2021 13:09

I once saw Liam Fox in Leicester Square. I don't think I was eating pizza at the time, but I did give him a frosty dart of my eyes.

Chicchicchicchiclana · 08/06/2021 13:42

I don't tweet, never once been on Twitter. But JB has quit right? Is that because of her tweet about IK or do I glean from this thread she said something mean about the precious royal baby?

Please tell me! It must be quite a big thing for someone as high profile as JB to quit Twitter.

Serpenta · 08/06/2021 13:46

She made a racially charged tweet about the new royal baby. And it's absolutely not a big deal in the slightest for someone of Julie Burchill's very moderate level of fame to leave Twitter. Why would it?

Chicchicchicchiclana · 08/06/2021 14:05

I meant a big thing for her, herself, to leave Twitter. Not big in the grand scheme of things obvs.

CP26 · 08/06/2021 17:09

Apparently she’s been sacked from The Telegraph too.
