Has anyone ever won a prize on the postcode lottery?

Apparently postcodes are selected via random draws using software which has been certified by a Gambling Commision - approved testing house.
It just doesn't feel transparent enough for me - what does anyone else think?

A friend won 1000, I've only been doing it for a few months and recently had a call saying I'd won a share of 30k, at first I believed her even though I'm usually very suspicious, after a few minutes she asked for an email address so she could send a link where I had to pay £1 to release the funds.
I realised it was definitely a scam and after a few words between us she admitted it was a scam and hung up!

I've won odd tenners but I know three separate people who have won a few thousand each.
