ideas for party bag fillers for 16 year olds

we are being silly.
DS3 is having a "leavers' party" at home on Sat with his best mates (boys & girls) and he doesn't know, but we want to surprise them party bags as a joke, precisely because it's not something teenagers get at this age. just some silly stuff to make them smile, nothing serious or personalised.
we know some of them fairly well and I think they will appreciate it.

I don't want to make it too childish but so far we've bought glow-in-the-dark necklaces & balloons, bubble blowers, candy bracelets and popping candy.
not sure what else we could add, I'm looking for a few more silly or quirky stuff.
any ideas?

OP this is such a lush idea! They will love it!!

The first thing that came to mind when I saw your post was bouncy balls! I would also get some funny sunglasses or stick on moustaches for selfie taking.

If they are 16 then I would pass on the scratch cards as a PP suggested, the age limit for all lottery went up to 18 last month so they wouldn’t be able to cash in any potential winnings (at least not themselves).

Was just about to say scratch cards and lottery have recently gone up to 18 but see I've been beaten to it

@PosyBoo

What an absolutely lovely idea OP, you sound a fabulous mummy! What about something along the lines of friendship bracelets or those funny rubber wrist band things you can have things printed on? My niece (16) and all her friends love anything like that and refuse to take them off for months. The older and more disgusting they get, the better 😂 Also regarding party hats, my sister gave out light up flower crowns at her DD’s 18th and everyone loved them! They were only cheap from Amazon but looked great. I also think disposable cameras are a fantastic idea! Hope they all have a wonderful time 😊
I love the friendship bracelet idea! Are you very crafty OP? They’re very easy to make with embroidery silks and you could even put their names or nicknames on them, a bag of alphabet beads is cheap as chips on amazon

Really over the top stick on moustaches were a hit when I made something similar. Many photos were taken. Scratch cards, party poppers, maybe some of those jelly beans that taste of horrible things like sweaty socks Grin

@leftistbimbo

thanks for suggestions.
yes, I'm very crafty but don't have time for making stuff, apart from finishing personalised keychains.
DS5 has a friend over today, DS4 has his mates round on Wednesday, a friend of mine is moving so I'm dashing out at odd hours to help her, DH hurt his back so can only do much less of his share of stuff, plus I'm still sorting loft crap, culling books (in process of re-arranging bedroom of DD& DS6)....we have 7 kids so it's a bit full on🤣🤣🤣

phew, apologies for ranting. and breathe!

Fidget toy
Squashie
Retro sweet like pushpop, whistle lolly, small water pistol or water balloon, bouncy ball, pull back racers, scratchcard, friendship bracelets made from different colour wool (so easy to make and can customise with colours like black, purple, grey, red etc) flashing fingertip lights. Slime pot or slime putty. Those men you throw up the wall and they fall down. A mini playmobil lego toy or kinder egg or Freddo treasures. A fruit winder as they are messy! A poster they can all write on or colour in that can be copied and given out to all in poundshop frames. Photos of them all on instamax.

here are the keychains, nice and blingy!

Could you add a diy photo booth? Silly hats, inflatable guitars, giant sunglasses etc

SemiFeralDalek · 24/05/2021 09:49

@ZingDramaQueenOfSheeba

any opinions on party hats? on the fence about them
I am very pro party hat. And would like to offer the idea of a dressing up box for pictures, hats, glasses, wigs etc,

Also, mini slinky.

Please don't buy a ton of plastic crap that they won't want or need and will most likely just bin.

If you want to be really childish, I have never seen a Dairylea Dunker refused.
Strawberry laces
Anything that lights up and flashes
