They were always clear this was never going to be an episode. I’m glad it’s not. Whatever they did with the characters would disappoint someone, and I prefer to be able to keep in my head my own version of where all the characters are now.

I agree. I think the whole thing needs to stay in the time it was. People have their own thoughts as to what happened going forward and that's a good thing.

Lisa Kudrow has aged very well. She just looks like Phoebe in her fifties. Matt le Blanc is grey and tubby and just how Joey would have turned out.

The rest do not look so good. Jennifer has had so much work that she’s overtaken Courtney in the destroy-your-face stakes. Matthew Perry is clearly unwell and I find it sad to see as he was always my favourite. I hope he didn’t feel forced into it.

I wonder why they’re doing this now. The moment passed about a decade ago I’d say. I suppose James Corden is the new Ellen in terms of his sycophantic style with celebs. She’s persona non grata and he’s taking all her jobs I reckon. America seems to love him.

They can never do an episode. Much as we would all eagerly tune in, it would be a terrible failure. They know it and they won’t jeopardise its legacy.

Thing is, Friends isn’t PC, it’s not 2021, a lot of the jokes just would never fly now. But we still find it funny. Young people find it funny. And for as long as we have the excuse of “oh it was the 90s, things were different” we are allowed to laugh and enjoy it. We have an excuse! Write an episode according to 2021 rules and it just wouldn’t be the same show.

They are very wise to refuse a reboot.

I think Mathew Perry has a whole load of things going on but he looks happier in other clips I've seen.

I'm looking forward to seeing it I don't know why James Corden is presenting it would make more sense an American of "that era" presenting

That's what I was thinking. I totally agree.

Jimmy Fallon would have been a better choice. Now a late night show present and was an SNL member during the years the show was on.

I can’t wait but I don’t understand the need for the extra celebrities that weren’t part of the cast. That fact that Justin Bieber is on it but Paul Rudd isn’t is ridiculous! In fact can they not just do an hour of Paul Rudd??

Is the guy who played Gunther gonna be on it?

I'd rather have had other Celeb cameos appear than Justin Bieber etc which seem a bit of an odd choice. Brad Pitt, Reese Witherspoon etc.

It's the lips that have been done I think and it's an awful pity. The women have all stayed in excellent shape. Would be very concerned wrt Matthew Perry. Looking forward to it!

I think I must be the only person on the planet that found Friends a load of unfunny rubbish, even back in the 90s.
I kind of liked it the first time around but not so much now. Not when you know what's coming and a lot of it is quite irritating. Maybe it's because I'm older, I don't know.

I do love how they're still good friends and obviously care about each other, never heard them say negative things about each other and I feel the handholding and hugging is all genuine.

So disappointed with the clips I’ve seen so far. Fair enough the connections are genuine but not sure I need to listen to an hour of them gushing about each other.
The plastic surgery is depressing. And yes Matthew Perry looks unwell.
But the biggest disappointment is that the obnoxious Corden is getting more airtime.
