Anyone not gone grey?

Realised today that my mum is 75 and still not grey. I'd always assumed she dyed her hair but apparently not. She used to have Auburn/brown hair and it has definitely faded but it isn't grey. I'm mid 40's and have spotted a few grey hairs but not many. I don't have the redness in my hair like her though.

Just wondered how common this was?

OP it must be an Auburn haired thing as my mum is and she's 66 still not grey either.

I’m 45 with red/auburn hair and the only greys are in my wiry little sideburns and a few at my temple. In some ways it’s great but also annoying as I will have to do something with my sideburns so will probably end up dyeing at some point

I don’t know that red hair necessarily means less grey/white My Granny had auburn hair that turned white; my Dad had reddish fair hair that’s also turned white, beginning in his late 40’s. It must be certain types of hair, I suppose.

Dh is early 50s and still blond. MIL is 75 and faded blonde with small bits of white.

Dh also has a full head of hair as has fil at the age of 80.

DH lucked out with the hair genes I tell you.....

This 48 yr old strawberry blonde has silver hairs, but they're all underneath so you can't see them so much.

70’s here and still got the same colour of hair, again a touch of red which I think helps but I can’t see me getting white anytime soon.

50 and no grey yet - my parents are both 80 and both maybe 15% grey. What I am curious about is why blonde hair gets darker as you get older. My DF and I were both very blonde as kids, mousey by teenage, but now you would say we have dark hair. It's a blonde kind of dark, but definitely dark. It's funny as everything else fades as you get older, so why does blonde hair get darker?
