Footless Tights - Why Might I Want Them?

Just been looking at my favourite tights online retailer.

They sell footless tights.

Now I presume they aren’t the same weight as leggings or they would be leggings rather than footless tights.

Why would a person (and they specialise in plus sizes) want footless tights?

Because tights are not that comfortable on your feet. With footless tights you can wear socks instead.

This. I love footless tights. Where did you find them??

Footless tights are fabulous.

But I also wear socks with sandals and live midi length shirts and dresses and looser, more comfortable clothing generally.

palava, I get mine from amazon. I forget the name of the nice brand of tights, but they also do footless and sell on amazon.

Leggings have seams. Footless tights don't.

If you shop in primark, nothing. If you buy vood quality leggings, then footless tights are generally thinner than leggings.

Footless tights are thinner than leggings, so they are better in warmer weather, or under a dress for a smarter look than leggings.

Just bought new tunic for work.

May have to embrace the footless tights.

For Snag it's a bit like solving the problem that their excellent tights have already resolved.

I asked if they could make them 3/4 length instead of full length...

But I might try footless full length next winter.

I like them with boots so you don't have to wear tights, socks and boots. My boots don't fit right with just tights on. They are uncomfortable on your feet too tights.

Ok, you can have that one. That was funny!

Just ordered 2 pairs....

Off to investigate!

1. Because I have huge feet and men’s socks fit better than lady’s tights.
2. Because I have psoriasis on my feet, and cotton socks are kinder to it than nylon tights (which can make my feet feel like they are on fire).
3. Because I find tights are really slidey inside shoes.

I have Snag tights too, because I am also quite tall and voluminous, but they do not resolve any of these issues as well as a good pair of cotton or bamboo socks. I tend only to wear “proper tights” when I need to dress up.
