Next customer number - help before I go mad!

I need to make a return, I don’t have the slips I got when it was delivered so I need to put a note in with my customer number.

Don’t have any letters with it on.
Not in any of my emails.
Asked the chatbot, said it’s in My Account - not on a bloody mobile site it isn’t! Tried to see it in desktop view, overrides back to the mobile site every time. I’ve clicked on every part of that stupid website. Please tell me there’s an easy way to find this!

I found the email for the random replacement trousers they sent me...no customer number 😭😭 are they just trolling me? Maybe I don’t have one!

It’s not defaulting to the app, it’s defaulting to mobile view website even when I select desktop view. TBH a lot of websites do this now, I’ve noticed.

You don't need slips or account number to return Next online orders. They just scan the barcode and that's it.

Just put them back in the bag and take them to a Next store. They just scan and refund 🤷🏻‍♀️

For the Royal Mail option (only one really workable for me), it says to include the dispatch note or customer number in the package?

@cashoncollection, I don’t even have an order number, the original order is nowhere to be found in my account! It’s just disappeared. And I empty my email trash regularly.

I accept I’m just going to have to send it back and hope for the best. I still don’t get why my account is so weird compared to everyone else’s though!

I had this very same issue.
I went on their live chat.
They send out a returns label to you and you just put it in bag and is returned to the card you paid on.
But you have to request/call them to get the labels sent to you, I asked if they could email them they said they don’t do that!
I don’t have an account with them, I just order off website and pay but they are forever asking me my account number!

You could call them and ask them to email or post it to you.

Are you returning it to a shop? You don’t need your account number. Each item has a unique code and they just scan it.

Go to help section and “live chat” but, it puts you on a chat bot session, if you type speak to person it puts you through to a person at next to discuss they will send labels

Seconding the people who say they’ll know it’s yours. I was very surprised to have them scan a label (when I returned something to a Next shop) and have them tell me (ok, ask, but they definitely knew it already) my name.

Thanks @DobbleDobble, seems I’m not losing my mind after all! So weird that it’s all set up around a key piece of info some customers don’t even have.

I can’t return to a shop - there’s not one near enough that I can get to (I work full time and do school run etc - I’m basically never able to get to a shop in the week and not able to drive an hour to one this weekend so it’d be at least two weeks, and this is already stressing me out so I can’t wait that long!)

Can any friends or whatever return for you.
. Did u sign in as guest rather than create an account.
Agree with pp. They all have unique code. Just send back and put a note in with it just in case. With your name and address and tel no.

Do you have an account or just buy things as a guest with your bank card?

Last couple of times I've returned things, when requesting a return through courier, it brings up a list of items I've recently ordered and I've ticked the items I'm sending back.

If you click on the box that says 'Order Tracking' it takes you to another page,at the top it says 'Expected' 'Delivered' 'Returned'
I usually use the 'Delivered' box to give me info when returning any items.
