Molke bras

CherryChapsticks · 24/04/2021 18:42

Anyone have one? I'm considering it but I want to know if they're more like crop tops and if they're the bra version of 'snag tights' which don't appeal to me at all

I'm looking for a soft, comfortable bra with support and shape and wondered if the molke might fit the bill

Thanks

What about the molke new flexi bra? I only have the original but might be worth a go
Original gives me enough support and shape and I'm a 34K
But then I do wear snag tights only in black though Grin

youmakemydreamscometrue · 24/04/2021 21:05

I looked at their explanation of measuring and that was enough to put me off.
They add 4/5 inches to the under bust measurement so I can't see the bras being particularly supportive.

Saxineno · 24/04/2021 21:14

I bought one, and I loved in on, but you had to really struggle to get it on, hurt my shoulder and sold it on after a couple of wears.

I'm going to buy one of their new bras that are black / white and have a clasp.

I didn't like mine, I tried a couple of sizes but it either rode up or dug in under my boobs. And it made my cleavage into a sweaty sauna. But I did sell it on for almost as much as I paid for it!

BeautifulBirds · 24/04/2021 21:36

I bought one after starting a thread on here about bras.

To begin with I was a convert.
Gradually, I lost it.

The band constantly rolls up under my boobs.

My boobs look squashed together.

They are sooooo ugly.

I would have to replace my whole wardrobe to be able to wear them.

I practically dislocate my shoulders getting into it.

They are thick so the rolled up under boob band ends up sweaty, along with the squashed boobs.

Not for me, 34ff that start at the sides, still in search of something comfy and supportive.

I’m in a Facebook group for a different clothing brand and you can always tell when someone is wearing a molke bra underneath the clothes they post photos of - they always look like they need better support and there is no definition/separation. I think they’re a bit of a cult thing.

Am intrigued by what the problem is with snag tights though!

ConnieCaterpillar70 · 24/04/2021 21:43

If you like sweaty boobs that are shoved together and start from under your chin, they're great. Oh, and a sweaty underband that rubs and rolls upwards.

If you don't, try Glamorise. Their bras are the same price and in a whole other league.

bellropes · 24/04/2021 21:50

I hate the one that I bought. I measured myself and it was the right size that I ordered, but it's too small and my boobs try to climb out of it. It squashes my flab every which way and it's just awful. I think you either love them or hate them.

ViciousJackdaw · 24/04/2021 21:52

I was too as I thought they just sold tights in a range of vivid colours. Looking at the website, it seems they now do printed tights too. It's all a bit Su Pollard.

QueenPaw · 24/04/2021 21:53

I don't care what other stuff snag sell provided they never stop their black tights. No other tights fit me and it's been a revelation to find them!

ShinyHatStand · 24/04/2021 21:56

I'm currently living in these
www.bravissimo.com/products/non-padded-cami-sleep-bra-nw235/#navy-nw235nvy

As a lifetime hater of non-wired bras they've finally converted me. I bought several to see me through a hospital stay and have lived in them ever since.

Persipan · 24/04/2021 22:00

I bought one and had to send it straight back; it was far too small. (And I had measured and gone by their size guide.)

Snag tights, on the other hand, are bloody brilliant!

RedcurrantPuff · 24/04/2021 22:00

@BestestBrownies

I want to like these, but they’re just so fugly Sad
Snap, they are hideous.

I like snag tights though.

PollyannaWhittier · 24/04/2021 22:05

Also wondering what's wrong with snags - they're just tights ? And they do colours other than black, and a variety of sizes so they actually stay up which is a good thing in my book, not bad !

EventuallyDistracted · 24/04/2021 22:08

Hideous, uncomfortable to wear, almost impossible to get on and off and give a deeply unflattering shape under clothes, never again.

Mugginyouleftrightandcentre · 24/04/2021 22:15

They're massive - surely they would show up under loads of clothes?

partyatthepalace · 24/04/2021 22:20

They do look like crop tops, and gave me a monoboob, with a side order of bottomy cleavage

ChrissyPlummer · 24/04/2021 22:30

I’ve got a few. I went down a size in the band and up in the cup, compared to what their calculator said. I have no issues at all with them. Leggings are super comfy too. If you don’t like the prints, they do plain colours too. You will be able to see them under certain clothes but I couldn’t give less of a shit 🤷‍♀️

CherryChapsticks · 24/04/2021 22:35

The Snag tights just scream 'Bo Po instagrammer' to me. Sorry if that offends any BoPo instagrammers

OP posts:
idontlikealdi · 24/04/2021 22:41

They look ridiculously uncomfortable I think a revisit sports bra would do the job.

midgedude · 24/04/2021 22:53

I love them
So comfortable and unfussy

APurpleSquirrel · 24/04/2021 22:58

What is a 'Bo Po Instagrammer'?

CherryChapsticks · 24/04/2021 23:15

@APurpleSquirrel Body Positivity

OP posts:
APurpleSquirrel · 24/04/2021 23:24

Ok. So what is so wrong with Body Positivity? Both brands are showing models of different shapes & sizes - why is that not a good thing?

& to answer your original OP I tried Molke after I finished breastfeeding & didn't want to go back to uncomfortable underwired bras. I really wanted to like Molke but just couldn't find the right size despite trying three different band/cup sizes & they were a PITA to put on to the point I needed DH to help. But some people love them, fit them well etc. The patterns aren't all to my taste but some are a bit funky & they do plain ones too. Do they show under some clothes? Yes - but so do normal bras under certain clothes. & I guess because they look more like a crop top Molke wearers don't mind because most people won't see a bra strap showing, they'll see a crop top showing. I guess it depends how much you care about what other people think.
I've switched to M&S bralettes now - great support & lift without the underwire.

FontyMcFontface · 24/04/2021 23:35

I bloody love snag tights.
What can possibly be wrong with body positivity?
