I wish MN had

The option to click on a thread and be taken to the last post I read, rather than starting at the first page again.

I would also love if when I clicked the you have been mentioned on the notifications, it would actually take me to where in the thread i've been mentioned.

What about you? What feature do you wish MN had?

Interesting ...

What's behind your three dots?

It's really annoying. Behind my three dots looks like this:

A like button and the ability to be able to edit posts.

Drag the options tab on your phone (1) and then press 'bookmark' (2).

@NoBetterthanSheShouldBe

A like / dislike button for individual comments. As the newspapers do. It would avoid long long threads of everyone agreeing with little to add, and make the forums more readable.
Not unless you can see who dislikes it.

- Being able to edit typos.
  • Being directed to the actual post where you’ve been mentioned via the @ function
  • I’m also not sure if there is a way to partially quote some posts?

I think this is all available on MN Premium.

AaronPurr · 02/04/2021 14:24

I think this is all available on MN Premium.

But these are pretty basic features of a forum, users shouldn't have to pay if they want them.

@MayIDestroyYou

I’m also not sure if there is a way to partially quote some posts?

Like this, you mean?

(C&P with asterisks either side.)

@MayIDestroyYou Not really. I don’t mean copy and paste with asterisks on either side. I meant when you quote a poster, where some posts can be quite long, choosing which parts you want to quote...so you instead of quoting the whole post, you only quote the relevant parts that you want. I don’t know if there is a way to do that?

ExitChasedByAnImposter

Unfortunately there isn't a way to quote specific parts of a post using the quote button.
