Good morning everyone.

💔

RogueMNerKnowsNoShame · 27/03/2021 11:14

Midge, what has happened to your username? Have I missed something?

Honeyroar · 27/03/2021 11:29

Morning all. Lol I hadn’t noticed the change in Midge - what happened to your fingernails Midge?! Are you having house nightmares or is living with your mum getting to you?🤣

House buying next week.., lots of money..,triple checking transfer details ... then a long wait for furniture to arrive ... what if we can't get the sofa in, will we ever get broadband ...
I get the jab the day before we move in and so many people are telling me how ill they have been with it...
... I am good at worrying

midgeswithnofingernails · 27/03/2021 11:35

And I am worried a bit about mam and not just her hearing , she's developing a slight hoarding tendency and her logic isn't as sharp as it used to be

RogueMNerKnowsNoShame · 27/03/2021 11:53

Aw. Good luck midge.

Have these to chew. 💅

Have those of you in education broken up? I don't until next Wednesday

Honeyroar · 27/03/2021 12:53

Yes lots of reasons to bite fingernails then.

I only know one person that had any reactions to the jab, and most of my friends have had it. She just had flu for a day. Don’t worry..xx

NeedToKnow101 · 27/03/2021 13:11

Hey Midge I'm going through the selling / buying process now; the stress is horrendous. I'm trying to have one day a week where I don't even think about it, but that's proving impossible.
Once you are settling in, next week (?) you can relax and start growing those fingernails back.

Elderly parents is another world of worry. My advice is to have boundaries as to how much you can do. Sounds callous but although some parents don't want to allow Carers, adult children have a right to say no to some things (or all things in some cases!).

NeedToKnow101 · 27/03/2021 13:14

Can't remember the last time we had a lyric!!!

Here's a random one .. no time for a flurry this am.

As he reaches his last half mile
The oar snaps in his hand before he reaches dry land
But the sound doesn't deafen his smile
Just pokes at wet sand with an oar in his hand
70s

NeedToKnow101 · 27/03/2021 13:18

AM?! It's afternoon..

CoffeeBeansGalore · 27/03/2021 13:40

Afternoon all 👋

Rogue we break up next Thursday so still slogging on 😁

We have the chance to turn the pages over
We can write what we want to write
We gotta make ends meet, before we get much older
We're all someone's daughter
We're all someone's son

Now I'm towing my car
There's a hole in the roof
My possessions are causing me suspicion
But there's no proof

Hugging like a monkey see, monkey do
Right beside a riverboat gambler
Erotic images float through my head
Say I wanna be (I wanna be your midnight rambler) your midnight rambler

All 80s

We are having the same issue with the PILs. Nightmare.

Just moving down the road, well about a mile down the road.

@midgeswithnofingernails, not many people I know had problems with the jab. I had the Pfizer one (due for my 2nd this Monday coming actually), all I had was a sore arm for 24hrs, only felt it when I lay on it. Dh who is a hypochondriac didn’t have many symptoms. Sorry that your Mum isn’t good xx
NeedToKnow101 · 27/03/2021 14:38

Correct Carnage to Night boat to Cairo ✅👏🏼

Fleamaker123 · 27/03/2021 15:18

Good luck with the move Midge, and yes elderly parents are a worry. Although I only have my dad and he's in his 90's and very independent. Won't have help and v stubborn, but that's hard too!
Rogue, I finished yesterday. Had an awful day too so mighty glad to have a break!

CoffeeBeansGalore · 27/03/2021 15:18

Correct Carnage & Flea. 👍😊
Love the new user name Carnage 😁

Unfortunately we are at that stage where the children start to flee the nest and get independent, but then the parents start needing more attention! We’ve had it for a good eight years now. My husband’s mum got dementia and was really hard work for a few years. Now safe and happy in the most fantastic care home. But my mum has been worrying too. I’ve had to do all her care over the last year, which has thankfully been possible due to furlough. May need carers when I go back to work. It’s horrible isn’t it.
