What kid programs do you happily watch alone?

There are some programs I do enjoy watching that are classed as kids programs.

Sometimes you just need something easy and fun Grin

Mine are
Pokemon
H20 just add water
Mako mermaids

There are probably others but I can’t think of them off the top of my head.

When mine were younger and watched CBeebies, I easily watched Hey Duggee Grin

I have found my people Grin
All hail king Julian
Trolls the beat goes on
Miraculous
Big hero 6
Troll hunters
The dragon prince
And yes to H2O

Currently watching legend of Korra. Since become the victim of long term sleep deprivation kids shows are my go to tv. They suit my reduced attention span, and generally cheer me up.
Also, if we're talking classic kids shows then Mysterious Cities of Gold and Around the world with Willy Fog are the best. Honorable mention for Dogtanian too.

What’s on your plate and My World Kitchen

PrancerandDancer · 17/03/2021 22:30

Yes to My World Kitchen, Duggee and Ben and Holly. Love Paddington too!

I love Jo Jo and Gran Gran. Its so sweet and cosy. My DD has just got in to Superwings too which I love for the facts of all the different countries!

Also a bit gutted that my child hates the Lion King and refuses to watch it!

Bluey on Disney + my 3 year old loves it, and I’ve found myself watching it too! It’s funny with subtle adult jokes in!! X

I love Pokémon & Peppa
Learning time with Timmy, I find it very calming for some reason
Ohh and blippi... 😛😉 I love a bit of blippi

Pingu, Rugrats, Scooby Doo, Spongebob and my all time favourite has to be adventure time, used to embarrass my younger brother when he was still a bairn by happily singing along to the theme tune, no shame! Grin

I've just watched Moondial on YouTube in my day off, thought of it after watching Tom's midnight garden with dc as they're doing it at school. Also watched the BBC Narnia, Box of Delights and Kizzy - I have a penchant for 70s/80s dramas Grin

And Rosie and Jim (with John)

SilverGlassHare · 18/03/2021 09:59

There are a few shows that I wish my DC had been into - Ben and Holly, and Abney and Teal especially. DS didn't especially enjoy either, sadly... He does love Miraculous: Lady Bug and Cat Noir, and I must admit I'm quite fond of that. I was very excited when I found out there was a third season on Disney + recently. Obviously I'm always happy to watch Hey Duggie. Also I like the How to Train Your Dragon spin-offs - DS knows this and uses it outrageously to try to manipulate me if I say he can't have the TV on - "We could watch the dragons, mummy!?". I don't watch any of them when he's not here though, I take the opportunity to watch things with a 15 or 18 rating.

SilverGlassHare · 18/03/2021 10:01

I'm not counting films in the above - I'd happily watch a Disney film without him there. But children's films are often a little more well polished than children's TV, possibly because in pre-covid times they had to appeal to an adult who'd be the one paying to take their child to the cinema and having to be a captive audience for 1.5 hours....

Sabrina the Teenage Witch

user64332 · 18/03/2021 11:42

Another Bluey fan here. We play the featherwand game now, last week I ended up with a group of unknown kids watching my kids freeze and unfreeze me totally mouths wide open enthralled. It was totally embarrassing but I couldn't break the spell for the sake of being embarrassed at the playground-which is infact another Bluey episode lesson when Blueys mum mocks Blueys dad for being too embarrassed to play in front of another dad.

Shaun the Sheep. I love that sheep!
