I started a thread on this during a slump last week and never came back to it. It must have worked as I went off and powered through several things.

The replies were so lovely ranging from minor to major things.

I'm not sure why-it must be mid week blues-I reach a bit of a blob mid week.

So today I had an important meeting and got some positive news about a client.

What have you achieved today?

An audit report for work.
A review of nosocomial infections and HAI compared to bed occupancy, staffing levels and transfer rates to set benchmarks.
Made fondant icing flowers
Wrote another chapter of next book and an article for a professional journal.
Walked the dog
Cooked a vegetable curry and made my own naan bread.

Stood in the rain for two hours welcoming pupils back as they stood in line to be tested. Came home and had a quick clean. Did parents eve for year 13 on school cloud - on one appointment my 7 year old came in and farted loudly 🤷‍♀️ But I feel achievement happened...

TheVampiresWife · 10/03/2021 20:32

Signed up for the degree I've wanted to do for 30 years!

And slept for three hours this afternoon. I have rheumatoid arthritis and it's being a twat at the moment. All I want to do is sleep and neck codeine (there exists the possibility that the two are connected Grin). Anyway getting sleep when I need it is definitely a Good Thing.

rainbowninja · 10/03/2021 20:42

Great thread!

I did a PT session (via zoom)
Had a doctors and psychiatry appt (Confused)
Chatted to my mum on the phone
Completed the census online
Read a chapter of my book club book
Ordered my daughter a new car seat

RoomAtTheEndOfTheWorld · 10/03/2021 20:47

After dropping DS at school I met a friend for a hot chocolate and chat which was so needed!
Built my new WFH desk when I got back home even though DH was home and could have done it.
Felt stupidly tired the rest of the day so only just managed to scrape dinner together from various bits in the cupboard/freezer and no energy left for anything else!

I feel bad on days like this where I feel I've wasted the day/not achieved anything but I tell myself I'll make up for it tomorrow and Friday and get lots of jobs ticked off my to do list!

LadyPoison · 10/03/2021 20:50

This - I have sore fingers though tonight!

LadyPoison · 10/03/2021 20:54

Home schooled second child for the last time - back to school tomorrow !!!!!

Got bollocked by one customer and had a long chat with another about cancer treatment. Types three reports.

Cooked tea, lit fire, went to supermarket. Three loads of washing put on.
While all this was happening the puppy ate a pair of shoes, a wellie, a notepad and a football.

wellthatsunusual · 10/03/2021 20:58

Did a tough workout, mopped the floor, went for a walk, did my day's work and sent some important (non work) emails. It has been quite a productive day.

AnnieAreYouOkHun · 10/03/2021 21:13

Had a run through of a practical exam I've got coming up.
Got the kids showered and in bed on time for once.
Had an hour of peace and quiet when everyone was out of the house for the first time in months.

MrsBDarcy · 10/03/2021 21:40

@YukoandHiro it wasn't as bad as i feared but it did twinge a tad. I was at the point where I winced , grabbed the bed and did a deep "oof" breath but then said she'd just about done so I think bearable. I took a cocodamol first but probably too close to the insertion as it didn't seem to have any effect. I'd do ibuprofen I think if I was having it again. I'm bleeding but like a light period. I'm so hoping it helps the migraines.

MacDuffsMuff · 10/03/2021 22:40

Started work early do I could finish early.

longcoffeebreak · 10/03/2021 23:10

When running with the dog
Stopped to help a man with his dog who had just collapsed (the dog)
Work - showed up and stuck with it
Cycled to and from a course I'm doing
Went to the course and engaged with it this evening
Sorted out organising regrouting some tiles in the bathroom
Organised a plumber to attend my lodgers bathroom
Packed lunches for kids tomorrow and left dinner for kids when on course
Swept and mopped the floors at home
Did two loads of washing
Lit fire and stacked the logs

RhubarbCustardy · 10/03/2021 23:21

Better day today than yesterday (had a migraine and just had to work through it till it went) so today:
Did laundry, made a shepherds pie ( see that someone else did too!) some housework.
Popped to the bank, put fuel in the car.
Best bit I did a half hour of a workout dvd which is the first in a long time.
Ordered online groceries which always takes me ages for some reason!

noblegreenk · 10/03/2021 23:30

Cleaned all downstairs windows, gave the sofa a scrub with upholstery cleaner, washed and re-hung the French door curtains, changed the spare bed and washed the dirty linen and walked the dog.

DitchedBitch · 11/03/2021 12:46

I put a load in the washer.
Been sat on sofa ever since.
Have zero motivation for anything and yet I have my whole life to sort out.
Going to try and force myself put for yet another walk around the same bloody routes locally yet again.

SingToTheSky · 11/03/2021 12:57

I love these threads. I feel so negative a lot of the time lately and it’s great to celebrate our achievements.

I’m not feeling great today but what I’d like to share is that I have managed to keep my 3yo in a bath, stories, teeth, hair and bed routine for nearly 2 weeks now. Our lives are usually chaos (we are a house full of various physical and cognitive issues, much worse than when the other two were little) but it just seems to have clicked and even on the nights I’ve felt like shit I’ve managed to still say Right DD2, bath time, let’s go. And then lie down with her reading and chatting and cuddling. So many parents seem so good at this and dare I say I feel like a proper grown up for managing it again!

SingToTheSky · 11/03/2021 12:57

Sorry that wasn’t really today was it 😳

I did finish my book though 😂

TeeBee · 11/03/2021 13:11

@JorisBonson

I've eaten a cake that was made for 8 people Grin
I'm liking your style! :-D
Atalune · 11/03/2021 13:39

Put a wash on
Did a 30min run with mate
Took puppy to meet another puppy and a coffee
Made the beds

SingToTheSky · 11/03/2021 13:39

YABU for not telling us what cake!!!

@Duckyneedsaclean love your achievement. Do you get to keep a record of how many vaccines you’ve given? My surgery had a running total on the wall for all the staff as a whole.

TheOriginalMrsBagwell · 11/03/2021 13:40

I've put a load of washing on, swapped broadband suppliers, taken some clothes to the clothes bank, posted a card, bought a sympathy gift for a friend and tried to listen to an online lecture. Now listening to a podcast. Have ignored most of the proper housework, too dull!
