I have a rather distinguished-looking nose and a man on a bus once complimented me on it.

Who nose knows @Milomonster but maybe it's similar? Big nose, big nostrils, lots of lovely oxygen coming in hence a fitter and healthier women and so the safer bet if looking for someone to make a baby with?

Big noses ARE very distinguished on both men and women.

Not, but it's more distinctive and acquiline than some of the little ski-jump ones on some female celebrities. I think it's a significant component of her good looks that makes her recognisable.

I totally get it! I married a man with a big nose. There is something about strong features and being able to pull them off.

I don't like big noses. Big hooked noses are very ugly. Big bulbous noses as men get older and older aren't pleasant either.
